Tequila Mexican Restaurant - (Near Chester, IL)

Kerry Klepacz Morris IL is the halfway point for family to meet up between Des Moines IA & Toledo OH. Coming from Toledo my daughter & I got there an hour earlier so we stopped to eat. The patrons & staff were so friendly & welcoming I felt like I was in an episode of Cheers. The food is good & service is phenomenal. I am happy we happened upon this place today & will return if we ever need to stop & eat when meeting up with family.

Lillian Rose Goodness I love this place. So glad I live close by. I do order my food with no mushrooms or onions and that helps. They usually get our order perfect. Its always hot and fresh and good. I suggest Kung Pow 4 Delight. So good! Best egg drop soup i have ever had too! Kids always enjoy the general tso chicken. 100% love it. The is a lovely lady who has worked there for a long time and she is a gem. Always smiling. Always pleasant.

John Paul Manganiello Service was very attentive and polite. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed. The food alone is far past the casual dining standard. I make my own marinara sauce from scratch, and I can tell you just by flavor alone this restaurant does too, the best pasta sauce I’ve over had in a restaurant! The salad bar is excellently decorated and diverse in choices. Side note, Do yourself a favor and save room for dessert, because the selection is perfectly sweet and satisfying without being too rich. (Picture included is sausage and peppers after I mixed it up, it was much prettier before I dug into it)

Susanne Gonzalez What a great place to stop for lunch on your travels. Yes its a slight bit of the beaten path but absolutely worth the detour and they have puppy dog food bowls so cute! The only thing I will recommend is to also bring a bowl of water for the pups. But other than that it was amazing the food was absolutely delicious we had the seasonal butternut squash soup and it was absolutely divine, so was the Muffletta and the best Shoshitos we have had in a restaurant. Thank you feel rba wonderful experience!

Dan Habermehl First time here after hearing about it for over a year and we’re very happy with the whole experience. I have had cod twice and didn’t like it either time,( not here) but it was excellent. I had the tavern cod dinner with the home made Cole slaw and fries, my wife had the catfish dinner and it was cooked just the way she likes it. Sean , our server was very knowledgeable on the menu and was on top of everything but not hovering. We will definitely be back. Best food we’ve had in the Benton area. And the beer was very cold.

Gilbert Donna (Mrs G) 06/19/2024 First time to Las Ollas Mexican restaurant. It came recommended from a friend. Our service was great and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the Mexican Guacamole. It is cut in chunks instead of mashed. The flavor was absolutely delicious. The chips were fresh and crispy. The salsa has a nice flavor. I had Shrimp Fajitas. The shrimp, onions and peppers cooked perfectly, great flavor. I look forward to trying some of their other items. The Mexican Guacamole will always be a must have
