Bud Bell Nice little small town cafe. Great food , great service has a great atmosphere. You said highly recommend this restaurant.If youre in town. I drive semi truck , so I was just passing through.

Danielle We had a great experience at the James. Andrew was our server and he was phenomenal! One of our friends has celiacs disease and he made sure that evening was taken care of so she didn’t have to worry. The GF menu is huge! And honestly as someone who isn’t GF, the GF blue crab dip and bread was delicious. The crème brûlée is a must try! 10/10 would recommend coming here. The food, the vibes, the drinks, the service - all wonderful!

Jon Rustad My wife and I were visiting Chicago for a few days to celebrate her birthday and in pound Gino’s East through a Gemini recommendation! The atmosphere is awesome, take time to look through the pictures on the walls up upstairs with all the celebrities and their notes. This is a great stop! The food was delicious and very filling! We ordered the sampler appetizer, highly recommend mozzarella sticks with ranch, very unique and delicious taste. We have the four meat, deep dish, pizza, another hits. It was topped off with the birthday brownie pan! And the service, top-notch! Yana was so friendly and helpful, and just made the experience even better than it already was! Thank you for a great experience for these visitors!

Ali This place was such a pleasant surprise. I absolutely loved the old bar–style atmosphere — the dim lighting, cozy seating, and classic décor give it a warm, inviting feel you don’t usually find in a Mexican restaurant. It has that laid-back charm that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. The service was top-notch. There were plenty of staff members walking around, checking in, and making sure every table was taken care of. Everyone was friendly and efficient, and our food came out quickly even though the restaurant was busy. We started with chips, salsa, and queso — all super flavorful. The real star of the meal was the main course. The pork chimichanga was amazing — perfectly crisp on the outside, tender and full of flavor inside. The rice and beans were well-seasoned and made the whole plate come together beautifully. Overall, this place nails it in every category: atmosphere, service, and especially food. It’s got that old-school charm with a modern touch, and I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Kelley Lotito My favorite breakfast restaurant in all of Rockford. Ive never had a bad experience here. The staff is always amazing and the buffet is always on par. My mom and I love coming here for the Christmas Eve festivities. ❤️
