Kevin Phillips WOW. I’m no connoisseur of French cuisine, but this has got to be one of the best from Aurora to Chicago. First off, it’s a nice cozy location that’s different and interesting. There’s an outdoor patio that’s quite nice, but we visited a few weeks ago when it was a little cooler out. It seemed like they had heaters out there. The inside however, is tight. There’s not a ton of room between tables and the tables themself felt unnecessarily long - i.e. my wife and I felt kind of far apart and had to lean in to talk. That said, we started with some excellent drinks (albeit a bit overpriced). I got a French 75 and an old fashioned; my wife got an espresso martini. All of them were wonderful, though I especially liked the old fashioned. Now, let’s talk food. To start we got the French onion soup - absolutely ridiculous. Hands down the best French onion soup I have ever had. For dinner, my wife got the steak frites which was spot on delicious and classic. The fries were excellent and the steak had great flavor and was cooked as requested. I got the pork belly stew ( I forget the actual name of the dish) - wow, wow, wow!! I’ve never had anything like this but it might be one of the best things I’ve eaten in my entire life - no exaggeration. The fatty rich pork belly was expertly cooked and crispy on the outside laid on a humble bed of beans. The fattiness of the pork was a perfect partner to the beans which brought some balance to the dish. Literally could not recommend this dish more. Lastly, the waitress was attentive and friendly. All around, it was an amazing experience. Since this place is still a bit new, I’d label it a hidden gem. It was busy so it’s kind of a “if you know you know” situation.

diana travers I have always been a fan of the Mushroom n Swiss burger! At a decent price also, compared to other prices around town! Oh, and the onion rings are the best Ive ever had! Add a good ole fashion thick strawberry shake and what a delicious meal that makes! Note-they have huge straws, to get every drop, lol!

jonathan taylor They have a menu plus the buffet they have excellent food. Everything’s fresh, nice and hot. The staff and cooks are attentive and really good at what they do. The lady takes the plates away from your table and ask if you’d like us throughout your meal.

Kyle Reinhard Hometown friendly service with awesome breakfasts and sandwiches. Great place to swing in and grab good food quickly. They do an awesome chicken salad melt. All their sandwiches are good too. Everyone loves their fried chicken which is very easy to order ahead and serve for big groups. They are super accommodating and easy to work with. Great local joint!
