Paul Vingiello As Mexican restaurants in Monroe go, this is as good as I have had lately. Fantastic service. Really good chile rellenos. Good salsa and chips. Portions are large. Fresh ingredients, cooked in house. It matters. Great flavors.

Briana My sister and I visited Melvyns and decided to eat there. They have very delicious chicken strips and warm soft fries. You can also get brown gravy with your fries and chicken strips. It was cozy in there with nice dim lights. The honey mustard was fresh and good. The lemonade and coke drink was fresh and good as well. I recommend trying this place.

Molly M Mmmmm-the dudes at the bike shop recommended this place for a late lunch & they were spot on! Seafood gumbo, char oysters & raw oysters were true perfection! Large, fresh oysters that are worth the stop itself, then watching the staff shuck the oysters at the bar was the best entertainment! Great service from our server who took the time to talk to us about Busters. Lots of locals here-but they were friendly & willing to share the oysters.
