Jeff Cee I saw the sign from the interstate “COUNTRY CAFE” It was not worth turning around at next exit, and coming back to!!! You had to go up to the counter and order, no waitress, styrofoam plates and plastic forks…!!!

Lydia Rome We stopped in for a snowball,let me tell you it was perfect. I got root beer flavor and my husband got nectar with cream yummy. They were loaded with syrup and the price was great too. I particularly like the way it is decorated. Had I not gone in too late for lunch. I would have gotten something off the daily lunch menu. Go check it out you wont be disappointed. We will be back here soon.

Montilla LeNoir (Dashing Diosa) The Lava Rock is super cool. Our first restaurant near Opelousas, when I hung out & helped the fiance at work, at the solar farm. A hidden little pleasant surprise!

Mr JL We drove in from out of town just to try Carter’s Home Cooking — and it was so worth it! Mrs. Carter is an absolute gem. She made us feel right at home the moment we walked in, like we were family. You can tell she pours her heart and soul into every dish. We had the pork chop, and it was hands down one of the best we’ve ever tasted — juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked. You can taste the love and tradition in every bite. The whole experience, from the warm welcome to the incredible food, made the drive more than worth it. Thank you, Mrs. Carter, for sharing your amazing cooking and kindness with us. We don’t live in the state but if we ever visit Louisiana again we will be back!

IGuessImSortaBasic Yeah We went for breakfast and it was amazing!! The aesthetic makes you feel like you’re having a great big party at grandma’s house. I got the Three Pigs in a Blanket and felt satisfied, not only with my choice, but at the end of the meal. My mom got the stuffed French toast with fruit and whipped cream. It was sweet and moist enough that you don’t need syrup with it. Delicious! We can’t wait to come back!
