5 /5 John Harrell: Amazing food, awesome people, and the plates are big enough to share or take half of them home in a box. First time I went they had a special based on the country fried steak, and it was probably the best I’ve had anywhere. My wife got an excellent burger with a side of onion rings that were absolutely perfect. Next time my wife got the fried shrimp and I got the fried fish and we shared to have both, and each one of those was enough for two people so we had a full box to take home to split later. Every appetizer I’ve tried was excellent—hush puppies, jalapeño poppers, fried pickles, and my favorite: chicken cracklins with jalapeños. And their bread pudding is a delicious treat to finish it off. Can’t wait to go back!
