El Flamingo Mexican Restaurant & bar - (Near Ville Platte, LA)

5 /5 Ryan: The food is AMAZING, but what stands out the most is how unbelievably sweet and attentive the staff are. I just walked in to pick up a to-go order and Erica (the woman behind the counter) could see by looking at my face that I was in a sad place. She came around the counter and gave me the best hug I’ve received in probably years. She took the time out to talk with me and assure me that this sadness will fade and I will smile again. Great food and amazing customer service. All at a very affordable price. You can’t ask for more.

Then when you ask for the manager to come explain it to you he won’t or the waitress was lying about telling him! Never had a problem there until tonight. You can’t STEAL. People’s money and expect them to go back.

2 /5 John Soileau: Salsa was watery and flat (mostly tomato sauce and cilantro). Tortilla chips were very stale and oily. though the presentation of the dish looked nice and delicious,, the taste was a different story. Shrimp was tiny and terrible,,, rubbery and tasted awful,,, almost like fake,,, though there werent fake,,, they were worse than fake, after I tried one, I couldnt stomach the rest, I didnt even eat them. Fajita steak was tasteless and was full of nerve tissue,,,, chewy and and tasteless. The only thing that was decent was the flour tortilla the was warmed and wrapped in some foil that came with the meal and the queso blanco sauce that was with my cousins dish. Service was okay. No problems,,, maybe a little below average but not bad. Atmosphere was about the same as service, average or slightly below. Easy to talk, but plain and unimaginable.

4 /5 Mareka Ceasar: Food is always fresh, prices is reasonable, customer service is awesome. Their bar is reasonable and nice selections. Our male serve was very polite, professional and on time with our needs. We appreciate him so much. Our experience at El Flamingo was amazing. Our first turn into many times.
