Copper Vine Restaurant - New Orleans

Rating: 4.6 /5
Lisa Peterson We stayed at the Copper Vine Inn for our anniversary this year and had an amazing experience! From being offered a drink and a spot to relax when we checked in prior to getting our keys, to the delicious complimentary breakfast on the upstairs patio in the morning before we checked out, our entire stay was wonderful. The room was very clean, extremely well put together, and had the most luxurious bathroom we’ve ever had the fortune of experiencing at a hotel. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs, and it was phenomenal as always. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and the grits were savory and perfectly paired with the salty collards. The chicken sandwich was also delicious. Nice and light, but filling. The location is also amazing; easy to get to, easy parking, and a perfect spot to stay if you’re in town for a game or concert. The innkeepers and staff were all extremely kind and genuinely interested in how our stay was going and making it better any way they could. We can’t recommend the Copper Vine Inn enough for a comfortable and relaxing stay in the city!

El Paso Mexican Grill - Houma

Rating: 4.3 /5
S R I grew up in Houma and moved away in 1998. I haven’t eaten here since. I was blown away by the transformation of the place. I first stopped by a Mexican restaurant closer to my parents’ house, but it was too noisy; the music was way too loud. At El Paso, the new decor, inside and out, is pitch perfect: a fresh, bright fusion of traditional Mexican elements and modern design. It’s just a pleasure to sit in the space. The music is played at the right volume level and service was warm, friendly, and attentive. I had a skinny margarita and pork carnitas. Both were excellent. They bring perfect, freshly made thin and crispy tortilla chips with three dips when you sit down: a traditional fresh red salsa, a very nice, soupy bean dip, and the third dip recalled enchilada sauce. I enjoyed them all. They do quite a unique and mercifully short birthday song, with tambourines and rustic noisemakers, I had the privilege of observing at a nearby table. Come check it out if you haven’t been here in a while. Also, I’d forgotten how large the place is. And I can’t wait to come back in spring to sit on the renovated patio.

Mil Amores Steaks & Cantina - Monroe

April Somerville Very good experience the wheat chips were awesome!! The steak has a very very strong Smokey flavor that I didn’t not very much care for but everyone else at the table enjoyed. The chicken was very good though! Rice was pretty bland and so was the fry’s. Over all very good experience in my opinion!

Area 337 - Lake Charles

Rating: 4.8 /5
Dan Cole Here’s a polished, complete review you can use: --- Delicious Latin American cuisine! The Honduran fried chicken is legit. Also recommend the yucca balls and empanadas. Area 337 is one of those rare spots where every plate feels homemade and full of heart. The flavors are bold without being overwhelming, and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in keeping things authentic. Portions are generous, and everything we tried came out hot, crisp, and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming—exactly the kind of place where you want to sit down, slow down, and enjoy good food with good people. Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to share their culture through the menu. If you’re craving something different from the usual options in the area, Area 337 is absolutely worth the stop. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

The Red Maple Restaurant - Gretna

Sean Herlihy Phenomenal all around! Servers were fantastic, attentive, and very personable. The spinach casserole appetizer was a great start. Our 4 year old loved the kids Catfish and fries. My wife had the Catfish Pecan and I had the Fig Glazed Roasted Duck, both paired with Sweet Potato Souffle. 10/10 for everything we ate and really a place to return to on future nights out!
