La Divina Italian Coffee Cafe - (Near Baton Rouge, LA)

Peter Gleadall Popped in for lunch after visiting the village. Had the red beans and rice, jambalaya and baked potato with crayfish between the 2 of us. Some of the best Cajan cuisine weve had so far on our trip and well recommended.

S R I grew up in Houma and moved away in 1998. I haven’t eaten here since. I was blown away by the transformation of the place. I first stopped by a Mexican restaurant closer to my parents’ house, but it was too noisy; the music was way too loud. At El Paso, the new decor, inside and out, is pitch perfect: a fresh, bright fusion of traditional Mexican elements and modern design. It’s just a pleasure to sit in the space. The music is played at the right volume level and service was warm, friendly, and attentive. I had a skinny margarita and pork carnitas. Both were excellent. They bring perfect, freshly made thin and crispy tortilla chips with three dips when you sit down: a traditional fresh red salsa, a very nice, soupy bean dip, and the third dip recalled enchilada sauce. I enjoyed them all. They do quite a unique and mercifully short birthday song, with tambourines and rustic noisemakers, I had the privilege of observing at a nearby table. Come check it out if you haven’t been here in a while. Also, I’d forgotten how large the place is. And I can’t wait to come back in spring to sit on the renovated patio.

Lilly Leger White It took a minute for someone to seat us, but Im glad we waited. The food was so good, we had steaks and stuffed potatoes, salad bar and wine. It seemed not to busy, but there is another part we couldnt see. We were seated by a gentleman who was on his phone(speakerphone) the whole time, wish we couldve been seated elsewhere, we were in a hurry so we just ate and left. Great place weve never been too, not pass ALL the time. Well be back.

Shelby Lay Everything about this place is amazing! From the eye catching building to the restroom that is decorated nicely with a wonderful smell! The staff are super sweet and actually waited on us to order(no pun intended lol), making sure I understood what I was buying. When you walk into the restaurant you see all of these plates that they have made just so the customers know what they’re ordering! Now for the whole reason you clicked on my review. The food was amazing to say the least!! The spinach artichoke dip was delightful. The chips were fresh and slightly sprinkled with a nice bayou seasoning. The Meal box (I believe that’s what it’s called) came with a pound of crawfish, corn and potatoes. I got mine with extra spice. The crawfish was cooked good with a great flavor. The main boil I got was made with essentially a crack sauce!! The flavors danced around in my mouth. The only words I can use to describe it as is “Jesus’s Last Super”! The snow crab was cooked perfectly! Literally melted in my mouth!! I’m not even exaggerating I’d literally sell my brother for another pound! We also had the Redfish with crawfish sauce (it has a specific name but I’m literally in a food coma as I am writing this) over pasta. The red fish was perfectly cooked where it melted in my mouth. It was definitely my favorite. I will definitely be returning in the near future. If only they had a restaurant in Texas! I am not exaggerating when I say this is a MUST STOP on the list while traveling through Louisiana!!

Judith Burton Great food at a decent price. We had the Chicken Picatta and the Murphy Chicken. Both were flavorful and delicious! Our server was excellent! Great atmosphere S well. Highly recommend a

Terrie Hancock Shays, a great place to come and eat and dine, they shall very good hospitality and warmness. The food is great and the service is excellent. Everytime family members and I come to town we always come here to eat. The atmosphere is very warm. Thank you well see you soon.
