My visit to Pamelas was a genuinely excellent experience. We ask the park ranger where to get the best burger and fried chicken in the area because we were absolutely starving. Toms did not let us down! I didnt just get a burger, I didnt just get chicken, I got both and I got the rice dressing to boot. Walking in it smelled like your grandparents house when theyre cooking on a Sunday afternoon. The smell of the kind of food that puts you to sleep for a deep afternoon nap. Great customer service at the counter. Very friendly, very quick. Everything was fresh and hot and crisp. Im definitely going back with my wife and kids when we pass through.

We ordered the gator bites, ribeye steak, and fried catfish. The gator bites were flavorful and crispy, and the shrimp was juicy and delicious. The ribeye was a generous cut—definitely large—but a bit on the fatty side. Still, it was cooked just right and packed with flavor. The fried catfish was a standout—hot, crispy, and flaky. Everything came out fresh and piping hot. If you’re looking for a meal that delivers on taste, this place hits the mark. I’d absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a down-home, well-seasoned Southern-style meal.
