3 /5 Keary Martin: 7pm Walk-in diners on a Thursday and asked if we had reservations, then had to wait for a table.
Took awhile to get our appetizer and entree ordered. The prices are kinda high. They have a salad bar that you fix yourself. Side salad plates are very small saucers.
Ordered the crawfish cornbread appetizer which was the best thing we had all night, hardly any crawfish stuffing in it though, sweet cornbread mix btw for those who don’t like sweet cornbread. Ordered the soft shell crab, waitress came back over and asked if I want the crawfish étouffée or the blackened shrimp on it, I told her nothing on top to take away from the crab but she could put it on the side. She presented it to me as it came with my meal even tho I asked and mentioned to her that it didn’t state that on the menu.(I’m not sure if the other staff didn’t push her to get me to add it). Come check time, I was charged extra for the blackened shrimp. I asked the waitress about it and she said must have been an issue on the computer and she would take it off. She comes back over with the receipt and says” well looks like the shrimp are on me tonight”. I was leaving her a good tip before hand because of the situation but after that I was a little perturbed. I ended up leaving more so it would cover the loss she may encounter. Anyways, the blackened shrimp were the best part of my entree. The crab wasn’t that good. Gritty and super fishy on the body. Green beans needed salt/seasoning. Wife had the ribeye and mashed potatoes. It was decent. Overall, wouldn’t go back for the price and quality of the food. The atmosphere is nice, just a small space.
