Barry Esnault Its not the first soul food kitchen Ive been to, but it is the best Ive been to so far. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food came out quick, hot, & delicious. I had the fried pork chop, cabbage, yams, and red beans & rice. The meal came with sweet tea and a side of cornbread for just under 20 bucks. Pork Chop was thick cut and fried perfectly. All the sides were straight FIYA. Sweet tea had the strong flavor of the betes, so of course, it was sweet and good to the last drop. Not located in the best part of town, but it is convenient to get to, and theyve been open 25 years, so their obviously doing it up right. Small seating area, so its probably best to order and pick up. Give it a shot, and you wont be disappointed.
