5 /5 Victor Womack: Couple friends and I decided to try Salt Pepper Oak BBQ. The staff a super friendly, and want to make sure you have a great experience. The brisket had a good smoker to it. The ribs are falling off the bone. Cornbread was good and had a little bit of a spicy kick to it. I really enjoyed a street corn and the cheesy grits were really good. Also found out they make all the desserts fresh every day. The chocolate chip cookie was really good and really rich. If you like barbecue and in the area? Definitely give a try.

5 /5 Barry Esnault: All I can say is WOW. The brisket they serve is by far the best and most perfectly tender Ive ever had. A definite stand out from other places. The ribs were tender but not fall off the bone, which is how I prefer them. Seasoning on the ribs was very good, not the biggest fan of St. Louis style ribs but quality outshines type of rib every day. Mac-n-cheese was good but way to cheesy, grits were great, cornbread was excellent, loaded fries were unique play on what I thought it would be. I enjoyed them though. Strawberry banana cheesecake was delicious with one of the best crusts period. Even with all that positivity the staff was by far the true ingredient in this recipe for success. Best staff experience hands down Ive had in BR. Well done SPO, well done.

4 /5 Eboune Curtis: I chose this spot for lunch to hang out with a friend and my boyfriend. I hoped that the burger was good based on a recommendation. The sauce carried the burger. It just needed salt and pepper. I saw how juicy the patties were, but it had no flavor. I felt disappointed. Mac and cheese reminded me of velvetta so perhaps one of those 6 cheeses overshadow the other ones. The birria tacos is the best meal during our lunch experience. They used brisket meat and it was stole the show! No complaints. The beans needed seasoning. BBQ places shine more when both the meat and sides are exceptionally well. Salt Pepper Oak has potential do this so I hope it can find that balance.

5 /5 Amy Bolton: This is an amazing place to get a really good BBQ! I had the Mac n cheese on the side which was THE best I’ve ever had. I also got the pulled pork sandwich with fries and the whole thing was phenomenal! Everything was so fresh, Highly recommend!! Will be coming back for sure!

3 /5 John Wynn: Ordered a burger, some wings and a nachos app. Burger is drenched in cheese and sauce, makes quite a mess. Nothing special flavor wise from the meat. Fries are not crisp, soft and soggy type... Wings were ok, looked great, taste ok nothing to write home about. Think Wings are proced at $4/wing. Nachos, we added pork belly meat to it Meh at best. Price point is on the higher end compared to other BBQ restaurants. Figure it would have been better due to the price. Party of 2 spent over $70+ with tip.
