Smokin’ J’s BBQ - (Near Minden, LA)

4 /5 Sheldon M.: I ordered the three meat platter. Brisket, ribs, chicken, green beans, and dirty rice. Ill tell you what. Im from the north where the barbecue aint that great and Ive been around this country trying barbecue all over the place. This place is by far better than Texas even. The seasoning and the smoke is wonderful. The flavor is robust and present. It is wonderful. The only negative thing I have to say is this. The chicken was dry. That is all. My experience with the staff was good. The environment is family really friendly and wonderful. Keep up the good work

3 /5 T DAWG: In the mornings the lady putting food together gets an attitude whenever you ask for certain food items. You can see she gets physically upset and has an attitude. Even if you’re polite and nice she gives you attitude because she has to do the job she signed up for. Food is good though.

5 /5 Tina Bennett: Dont let "gas station BBQ" fool you. This place was clean, fast and GOOD! 1/2 chicken fell off the bone and the dirty rice was very good! Also liked the potato salad. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Liana Smith: This is just not your regular gas station/convenience store but has the best BBQ in the area!! Try the Mr. Nasty sandwich on Hawaiian bread. It is a mix of chopped chicken, sausage & brisket!! The price point us very reasonable for BBQ. You can dine in, take out & drive thru! Also enjoy the covered patio with ample seating!!!
