smoke & honey - New Orleans

Tai Ive eaten here several times and everything on the menu is solid. However, the gyro platter is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Every component - pita, chicken, tzaziki, veggies, village salad, fries - is perfectly seasoned, and complements each other so well. Just amazing. Casual order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Nicely decorated and so cozy. Staff is very friendly!

Zee Zees - Baton Rouge

Rating: 4.2 /5
Sarah Watson Zee Zee’s is my FAVORITE place on earth. Literally bury me here. What initially got me hooked on this place was the bouncer, Clarence. He’s so friendly and funny and everyone loves him! He’s always looking out for my friends and I, and it really makes us feel safe in downtown Baton Rouge. Love the food, drinks, atmosphere and staff here!

Red River Cafe - Coushatta

amy jones Our server was by herself because someone didnt show up so she was pretty busy. She had an 8 top show up plus she had several other tables. Regardless of that she did a great job. The food was pretty good my only complaint was I thought it was odd the toast came dry with no butter but not the end of the world. The place also looked very clean.Everything tasted good and I will definitely be back.

Martones Italian Restaurant - Many

Rating: 4.3 /5
Janet Walters My husband and I found ourselves in Many on a Friday night and stopped in for an impromptu dinner. We knew it was going to be good when we were greeted by the delicious scent of the wood fire oven (we were hoping for a wood fire grill also but no, just the oven). We started with the Marsala fries, which were very good (kind of reminded us of poutine). We both had the ribeye, which was seasoned and chargrilled perfectly, and also exceptionally tender. The Brussels sprouts were very good and I loved the Balsamic glaze, but they were a little undercooked for my personal preference (I prefer them more tender). However, the star of the show was the gnocchi. Neither of us have ever had gnocchi prepared this way. They were slightly toasted on the outside and fluffy on the inside, like little garlicky pillows of deliciousness. Each meal also came with two yummy garlic bread sticks that are baked in the wood fire pizza oven. Our server Leona was kind and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and casual. We will definitely return when we’re back in the area!
