Donnie Brown To start off the staff is amazing. As a first time visitor we felt like family. The drink were made to perfection. The crab meat in the seafood egg rolls taste very good. The red beans were so good I asked how to cook them at home. All of the chicken was good fresh and extremely well. Side note: dont ask for syrup. Taste the food first. We planning to go back during our trip.

Renay Maxwell It was a bit loud because we were right off Canal but everything else was phenomenal. Our waiter Bilal was so friendly and informative. We did wish the food was a bit more spicier but we were informed they toned it down a bit. I had the stuffed fish. It was so flavorful and a really good portion. I wasnt a fan of the green beans I dont like my vegetables crunchy. A friend of mine ordered the hot honey chicken which wasnt hot at all it was sweet and flavorful though. The other friend ordered the Jamabalay pasta 10/10 so, so good! We got crab cakes and oysters for apps and they bother were really good. The crab cakes were small but they came in 2.

Keong Fong So glad we made a reservation for our New Years eve lunch! Do yourself a favor by dressing up. Service by Nash and team was impeccable. They took such good care of our every need. We started off with their 25¢ martinis and were surprised by how well-made they were! We sampled the range of varieties they have and all agreed that the best was still the dirty gin martini. I liked that the menu was all on one page. No endless scrolling through pages and pages. Theyre famous for their turtle soup so of course we had to try it. It was very delicately prepared. It did NOT have parts of turtle floating around in it, as we imagined! Some of us had the beef cheeks (so tender!), the others had the cochon dish (highly elevated carnitas taco), my favorite was the chicken leg confit which was an explosion of flavor! Dont skip the desserts too!

Jason McGee We tried this place during Coolinary Month. Loved the rustic yet classy atmosphere. Our waiter Brian was great. The "Country Gumbo" was rich and flavorful. The "Shrimp & Eggplant" was amazing! The "Chicken & Mirliton Rochambeau" was scrumptious! That chicken was down right sinful! The "Fish of the Day" was also very delicious. However the menu stated popcorn crawfish along with the ingredients but there were none. I was so enthralled with eating the dish I didnt bother complaining. So check your plates. Next I will. For dessert I have to say that I wasnt expecting much since Im not a big fan of bread pudding. However, that was some of the best if not the best bread pudding I ever tasted! Its pricey but we totally recommend this place for your next date night or evening getaway.

nina smallwood I absolutely love this place and my bartender Jack! He was amazing and his recommendations were spot on, like the charbroiled oysters - they were delicious! What I also loved about the experience was that everyone was attentive to us. Staff came to check on us they were friendly, observant, and helpful. To top it off I forgot my macarons at the counter. When I got back to the restaurant I thought they were gone but Jack had them behind the bar. I learned he came running down the block looking for me!! He could’ve easily just said oh well maybe she’ll come back which I did but I love that he tried!

Courtney Weaver Lola’s has brunch now! I’ve lived in the neighborhood for a few years now and I was delighted to discover they’ve started a brunch service on the weekends. Everything was incredible and our server, Courtney, took very good care of us. I highly recommend the Persian Love Cake Waffles and the Shrimp & Grits. I also ordered a Paloma and enjoyed the breakfast potatoes. The ambiance is beautiful and the presentation and balance of flavors was incredible. The best shrimp and grits I’ve eaten in recent memory!

Doriane Das An exceptional experience at Restaurant Napoléon! Everything was absolutely delicious. We had the Mufuletta and the chicken & andouille gumbo, served with jambalaya and a potato salad, every single dish was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The quality–price ratio is excellent, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere is simply idyllic. We truly loved our meal and the whole experience. We recommend it

Our waitress was attentive and the drinks and food came out quickly. So to the yummy stuff. All that we preferred we loved. Churrasco with batata bravas Mofongo with steak The steak was so moist and tender For dessert because we came for my mom’s birthday was the Coconut flan which was light and delicious. Highly recommend this spot.

Lisa Brassard Gur was our server and was hands down awesome. He greeted us within a minute or so of us sitting down, got us a water along our drink order. He recommended the crab cakes topped with crawfish tails. That could have been my meal by itself. I highly recommend it. We shared the soup platter and loved everyone of them. The red beans and rice were the best I’ve ever had. We were both full but couldn’t resist ordering the bread pudding. The music was even good. We will definitely be back every time we visit NOLA.

Sixi Ma The chargrilled oysters were wonderfully seasoned, with rich butter, high heat, and garlic softened to a perfect melt. Half a dozen disappeared in seconds. The lobster pasta was also beautifully done. The noodles were cooked to a soft, comforting texture and blended with a savory sauce that lingered on the tongue. The portion was generous. The alligator taco was more average. Although many people recommend it, the alligator meat had a spongy, chicken-like texture that was not very appealing. The dessert, however, was astonishing. It felt like something meant for four people. Even with two of us working on it for ten minutes, the peak remained untouched. Beneath a mountain of whipped cream were cold scoops of ice cream and a warm brownie, a combination that kept the textures changing with every bite. A lovely experience overall.

Byron MH I got the sampler as my first taste (ever) of New Orleans cuisine. Man the gumbo packs a punch! But it was delicious, everything was delicious. I couldnt have asked for a better first meal in New Orleans and an introduction to Cajun/Creole cuisine. I got some green beans in bacon sauce as a side to the sampler

ED Lewis Nice cozy place I found on Google close to our hotel for the jambalaya. I also ordered fried green tomatoes that came with roulade sauce… fie. It went perfectly with my cup of jambalaya which was the perfect portion. My husband’s wings were good and he ordered the special sauce on the side. Service was excellent and our water glasses stayed full. We were also able to catch the highlights of the IU game with the big screen television where we had a perfect unobstructed view.

Swim Doc We loved our meal and the amazing service by Nandi! Everyone was very attentive and kind. Nandi gave us wonderful recommendations and clearly knew the menu well. The food was delicious, reasonably priced and good portions. We had the bread pudding pancakes which were like a mix between French toast and pancakes and were very indulgent. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and the hot honey fried chicken was the perfect balance of heat and sweet. The fried green tomatoes were also great! Would highly recommend!

Nyor Mirror My son and I made Sunday brunch reservations after seeing rave online reviews, and Brennan’s did not disappoint. We were seated immediately upon arrival at a double-linen, eloquently organized, low-top table in the dining room, with views of the courtyard. I enjoyed the turtle soup as an appetizer and the perfectly prepared duck confit hash for my entree. My son was delighted with his gumbo soup and his medium-rare hanger steak with a sunny-side-up egg. They did not skimp on the alcohol in either our Brandy Milk Punch or Irish coffee. Of course, we had their world-famous Bananas Foster prepared table-side for our dessert. This was our second restaurant during our New Orleans vacation, and we used it to set the bar for what to expect from fabulous food and service. Door man. Excellent service, and every single staff member greeted you when you walked by. Brilliant linens and silverware. They even had someone who scraped the breadcrumbs off the table between servings. Only a collared shirt is required for brunch. The price is consistent with the experience, food, and ambiance. I would highly recommend Brennan’s for an upscale restaurant experience.
