5 /5 Milan Patel: Detroit Eatery was an incredible experience from start to finish. We decided to try a variety of dishes so we could really get a feel for the menu, and every single item exceeded our expectations. We ordered four dishes including butter chicken, chicken 65, General Tso’s chicken, and lo mein, and it was honestly hard to pick a favorite because they were all that good.
The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being too heavy. The chicken was tender and cooked perfectly, and the sauce had the ideal balance of spice and smoothness. The chicken 65 had amazing flavor and a great kick to it. It was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned extremely well. The General Tso’s chicken was another standout with the perfect mix of sweetness, spice, and crunch, and it did not feel overly greasy like it sometimes can at other places. The lo mein tied everything together perfectly. It was flavorful, well seasoned, and cooked just right, making it a great complement to the other dishes.
What really stood out was how fresh everything tasted and how well the flavors came together across different styles of cuisine. You could tell the food was made with care and attention to detail. We ordered a lot of food and still ended up finishing the majority of it because it was just that good.
If you are looking for a place that offers great variety, generous portions, and consistently amazing flavor, Detroit Eatery is the spot. Everything we tried was a hit, and we will definitely be back to try even more of the menu. Highly recommend.
