joe louis southern kitchen

Joe Louis Southern Kitchen - Detroit

Rating: 4.3 /5
David Hepworth I am so glad the concierge at MGM Detroit recommended Joe Louis Southern Kitchen so highly! We found great parking right in front. Nice greeting when we arrived! Thursday at 10 am place was hopping! I had the second best French Toast of my life. The first was at The Meurice in Paris! So delicious! I think with hints of cardamom! Thick cut bacon was fab! Real maple syrup! My son loved his shrimp and grits! Folks at the next table having literal platters of food! Delicious and huge portions!
detroit street filling station

Detroit Street Filling Station - Ann Arbor

Rating: 4.7 /5
Robert Most So I’ve been to the Detroit street Filling Station probably half a dozen times over the past 4 years , but waited to do a review until now. This place is a wonderfully cheery and uplifting place to dine. No meats on the menu, but that’s not a hindrance. The food is tasty and wonderful! Within walking distance to the Ark, an added bonus if you’re going there for a concert! They also serve beer and cocktails, so no issues there. Highly recommended!

peter dells Food was amazing, friendly and helpful staff who were knowledgeable and helpful to first time visitors who were unsure on what to order. Menu was simple and clear but don’t let that make you think it isn’t going to challenge your taste buds. It was able to make my picky eater happy while also giving me something to have that was complex but satisfying. I would recommend this place to anyone no matter if you are a first time trying something new or an old hat and looking for something different. I will be back!
pegasus taverna

Pegasus Taverna - St Clair Shores

kyle Reynolds ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pegasus Tavern in Saint Clair Shores was an incredible experience from start to finish. Everything came out quickly and perfectly timed, and the flavors were bold and precise. We started with saganaki, which was absolutely spot on, and paired our meal with Greek wine — both the dry white and red were excellent choices. For our entrée, everything was cooked beautifully, and we ended the night sharing grape leaves topped with a bright, zesty lemon sauce that tied everything together perfectly. Gregory, who seemed to be the manager or owner, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, and his server was just as impressive. Can’t wait to come back.

Olin Bar & Kitchen - Detroit

Robert Jones My wife and I went here for lunch...we absolutely love the ambiance inside...such a vibe! Luckily it was not busy at all so we were seated right away...I would recommend putting in reservations though. The service was amazing...everyone was so friendly and nice and our waitress got our food and drinks out right away. The drinks were creative and poured to perfection! I highly recommend the bathtub drink which is not listed on the menu. The food was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. Highly recommend this spot especially for a date night. We cannot wait to come back!

larry Hollinger As a native Louisiana boy, Im always skeptical when places try to recreate the New Orleans vibe and cuisine—most end up feeling touristy and miss the mark. But this spot? Not even close. The ingredients taste like they were flown in straight from the Big Easy, and you can feel generations of soul in every bite. We had the Étouffée, Jambalaya, and Gumbo Yaya—all absolutely delicious. And hey, I didn’t have to cook them myself, so that’s always a win. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere genuinely made me feel like I’d been teleported home. If youre looking to experience Louisiana without the long drive, I highly recommend this place. My only minor critique: the Étouffée sauce had a touch too much flour, which made it slightly grainy, and the rice was a bit overcooked. But those are small things when the flavors are this on point.
