5 /5 Andy Statler: Room was very nice, full bathroom with shower and separate smaller bathroom with sink and toilet. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was basic but had a great selection of cereals, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, breads and milk.

4 /5 Allan Perrino: Decent place. Short on staff as it’s not in a larger city. My only complaint is the HVAC fans in the room are constantly on. They tend to be noisy. Wear earplugs. Carpeting needs an upgrade. Nice people.

1 /5 Susan Lewis Friedman: The girl managing the front desk obviously has no hospitality training. We left the property at 10am this morning, came back at 2pm to find our room totally not attended to, beds made, or anything. When I went to politely inquire, this nasty young blond girl responded defensively; saying that they had til 4:30, that they had 46 new rooms to turn over, and was prioritizing this over straightening up for existing guests. When I told her this was unacceptable, that we expected our rooms to be cleaned, she got even nastier, saying that they had to do no such thing. I then reminded her that I am the customer; that she needed to treat me and all customers with respect, and that if she could not do better than this, that I would leave an unfavorable review. She stormed off and turned her back to me. Our friends complained of a moldy room; and their children being placed in a room on the other side of the building. They not only refused to move them; but they covered up the mold by spraying Febreeze. Do not stay here.

5 /5 C Ross: We love the Chautauqua Lake area and always stay here whenever we can get away. It is relaxing and feels like a home away from home. Its centrally located to many other destinations we like to frequent nearby. On in-between or rainy days I enjoy spending time in the large and comfortably appointed lounge/parlor area to read or enjoy other pleasant pastimes.

1 /5 J B: Where to start..... Well, place looked nice. Good Parking. Nice lobby. Rooms were nice too. Thats the only good I can say about Chautauqua suites. Breakfast was awful, unless you like microwave biscuit or bagel sandwiches, and little boxes of cereal. Not a big deal. Had to ask for ketchup, which seemed to bother the staff. The muffins were decent. No coffee or juice in the breakfast area. That was in the lobby, but no signs or anything. Had to find it on our own. We left the do not disturb sign on the door. Left for lunch, came back, and the do not disturb sign was on the floor outside of our room. We went inside, and the room was not only made up, but my girls clothes were put back in her bag. Why go in a customer bags at all? Why handle their clothes? My key card would not work when we got back that evening, so I went to the front desk to get it fixed. Michael the desk clerk, said that they dont demagnetize, and said I must have done something, or not using it right. He took the card to reprogram it. Then I noticed the checkout at 10am sign. Which I thought was little early. I mentioned it to the clerk. I said in a joking manner, "Hey, why ya gotta make me get up so early to check out." He snapped back at me, got loud and said " Im just doing my job sir." more than once. I dont recall if it was 2 or 3 times, but the way he spoke to me, a customer, was really uncalled for and demeaning. I replied with, "Relax, Im just kidding, Im not trying to light you up." He responded very nastily & loudly, " Yes you are Sir." Which made the other customers a little uncomfortable, as they gave me a look like what the heck was that. Now for the charges; It was supposed to be $225 for the weekend, two nights, with a $225 security deposit. They hit our card for $675. $225 for each night, and kept our security deposit. they said it was because there was blood on a washcloth, & sheet. I do not recall that, but either way, $225 for a washcloth and sheet? Even if there was, $225 for a sheet & washcloth is absolutely ridiculous. What do they cost, maybe $30? Needless to say, I would rather sleep outside than stay at Chautauqua Suites again.
