feast & floret - (Near Hudson, NY)

5 /5 Vin B: Dinner at Feast & Floret. Everything was cooked perfectly and plated to warm your appetite. Starting with the escarole salad and two specials of the night: -(Chitarra Pasta) with homemade brined sardines -(Turnips) in a creamy truffle sauce. For the main: Chicken Milanesa and Short Ribs over Polenta. The pasta was a perfect Al Dente and the Polenta was a nice texture of light and creamy. The tenderness of the Short Ribs was a wonderful compliment to the Polenta. In addition to the warm decor (atmosphere), the staff is welcoming and laid back but, also attentive. Located in the city of Hudson NY and nearby Catskill, Feast and Floret offers a refined dining experience. Within walking distance to other area favorites. If youre in town for the day or weekend there are plenty of things to do before or after lunch/dinner. Walk along Warren St and visit all the different shops (coffee, cheese, wine, clothing, art, antiques, theater, books and more).

5 /5 richard gee: Eclectic, buzzing, fun, yet run with military precision, professionalism and charm. Almost forgot the best bit: truly delicious, perfectly executed food. The mushroom pasta, and the ribs were both top 5s of their kind in my book. So good for Saturday night dinner , that we repeated for Sunday lunch.

4 /5 bll runs: Had a 9pm reservation (only one available the day before) on a busy Saturday, seated in the room with the bar to the left upon entering. Service was very good and clearly something the place prides itself on. The food was mostly very good, including the green salad and fresh grilled flatbread starters, but the beet salad was just OK. Though it looks strange in photo here, the rye cavatelli was delicious, especially the green onions. The one problem was the noise absorption in the room. There were some loud patrons nearby that made it almost impossible to hear the server or have a conversation without yelling. Would ask for alternate seating next time.

5 /5 Cathleen Warner: My fiancé and I visited this town freshly engaged/celebrating our anniversary and we were wildly impressed by the food, service, and attention to detail. Food came out fresh and timely, the dessert special is something I’m going to dream about now, and the cocktails were on point. Our server Owen was fantastic! They made sure everything went smoothly. I mentioned wanting a cocktail after my first was finished, and he had it ready as soon as it was done! I am always appreciative of someone who despite having multiple tables and parties, can pay close attention to each tables needs. We will definitely be back when in the area!

5 /5 Ada: This place was super special. For context, we came to Hudson on a day trip and this place made us want to do more day trips off to Hudson. The food was unique in exploring modern American classics with some Italian spins. The ingredients were of very high quality and we found ourselves not only leaving every place clean, but also finding ourselves on a culinary journey of deciphering of mysterious ingredients that gave the plates an element of depth. This restaurant will set you on a culinary journey you didn’t know you needed… seriously worth a stop (and revisit)✨ Shoutout to all the staff too, everyone was super nice and attentive
