Fitzgibbons Public House - (Near Medina, NY)

Dawnis Chow This place is amazing and the food is absolutely delicious! I’ve never experienced a restaurant that combines Asian Hot Pot and Korean Style BBQ, and I was curious about how it would work. It turns out, they complement each other perfectly! The quality of the meat and ingredients was top-notch. The restaurant is brand new and looks fantastic. The decor has some really cool touches, like misty flames next to the booths and beautiful lighting. It’s surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seating for large groups and VIP rooms for private events. There was even a cool service robot which brought the meat the tables! The sauce bar is a highlight, offering a variety of options to create your own dip for the BBQ, from spicy to sweet, plus some Asian specialty desserts. The service was excellent. The servers were very attentive and the owners even came by to check on us. What a great addition to the restaurant scene in Ithaca! I’ll definitely be coming here again.

Rich W First time to dine in, and our service and meal were great. The egg plant parm and meat lasagna were excellent. Earlier this year we attended a reception that Cuchina 25 catered. The food was excellent and everyone appreciated the effort to make it happen on short notice. Ever see 6 foot long subs? We will be back. Molto bene!

Vex Trooper I went to this place for lunch and to scout it out. It was my first time coming here, and the first thing that happened when entering the establishment is one of the staff welcoming me. The restaurant itself is a bit small, but the serving staff there are very attentive and kind. And the decor within the place is very colorful and eye-catching. The place also seems to be a hot spot for friends and family with children. I ordered the Fried Shrimp Curry with Melon Cream Soda. As I waited, the staff made sure every customers glass of water was always filled, and they took out out any remnants of trash that was on the table. As soon as my food came out, it smelled absolutely delicious, so I immediately digged in. The curry sauce was hot and smooth, while the fried shrimp were so crispy and juicey. Paired with the cold melon soda, the entire dish was amazing. I will definitely have to come back to this establishment with my friends and siblings, so we can try out the ramen and rice bowl dishes!

Kelsey We wanted to try a new place and saw the reviews of Tapas 177 were very positive. We called on the way and reserved a table. We grabbed some on-street parking but found out there is a lot behind the building, which is great. We were met by the same person who handled the call--he was really friendly. We were led downstairs to a table for 2 and started ordering. We had a drink each (the Pisco Sour was the best) and ordered the fresh spring rolls, veggie pizza, chips with salsa and guacamole. The chips (and the rest) were amazing. We also ordered the fried banana cheesecake (pictured) for dessert. It was delicious. I would go there just to order that dessert! Our bill was just shy of $100 and it felt like a good value for the amazing food and drinks!

Daisuke Kobayashi Pita Gourmet was a very pleasant surprise for Cortland. The menu and the dishes themselves feel thoughtfully put together and true to the spirit of Middle Eastern cuisine, with flavors that taste fresh, balanced, and carefully prepared rather than generic. There’s a great range of options: pita wraps and other easy-to-eat items that work perfectly for takeout, as well as full plated dishes that feel right for a proper sit-down meal. It makes the place useful for almost any occasion, from a quick bite to a more relaxed dinner. Preparation was quick, the staff were friendly, and the overall experience left a strong impression. If I find myself in Cortland again, I’ll definitely be stopping here.

Laura G I loved this spot — cozy, very cute inside, and perfect to a casual date. I enjoyed most how focused and interesting their wine collection is. We ordered the kale Caesar salad, and it was very delicious. The staff was polite, definitely will look forward to visiting again.
