5 /5 SAC: The Inn at Speculator is a charming, cozy spot that truly captures the Adirondack atmosphere. We were in town visiting my fiancée’s nephew, who was lodging with a local family, and this inn made our stay incredibly comfortable and welcoming.
The highlight is definitely the food. The chef/owner is a CIA-trained (Culinary Institute of America) chef, and you can taste the difference in every dish—well-executed, flavourful, and generous portions. The fact that the place is run by him and his family gives it an extra warm, personal touch that you don’t get in bigger, more commercial hotels.
The rooms are simple, clean, and comfortable, and the overall vibe is relaxed and friendly. It felt like a perfect base for visiting family and exploring the area.
Highly recommend The Inn at Speculator to anyone visiting—whether for family, outdoor activities, or just a peaceful escape.
