Johnstown Peking Chinese - (Near Johnstown, NY)

Douglas McMasters Tulum has been on my visit list and Im glad to shift it over to my Coming Back list. We arrived without a reservation, but were promptly seated. Even at 6pm, the Friday night crowd was lively, filling the dining area with happy chatter and laughter. Too lively? Perhaps. The service was fast and helpful. We ordered nachos and yucca fries and they landed on the table before we were aware the order had been sent to the kitchen. The yucca fries were excellent. Light, crispy and very tasty. The chips were well above your standard norm. We enjoyed mushroom quesadillas, baja fish tacos and carne asada tacos, and finished with a flan we split three ways. All wed recommend. The carne asada was beefy, tender and moist. I prefer my tacos with heat. And if you want some heat, be sure to ask for their in-house habanero passion fruit hot sauce. It brought the carne asada right up to a higher level.

Jennifer Henry A date night well spent. The ambiance is always wonderful, but with the holiday decor, it took everything up a notch. We haven’t been since the new chef took over, and he did not disappoint. The drinks, the salad, the entrees (we got the pork collar & sea bass), and the dessert were all balanced and tasty. Maura, our server, was attentive and kind. Can’t wait to come back!

Matthew Nikkel Everything I had was excellent It was a nice quiet evening that I had with my kids. It is expensive, appetizer, dinner, drinks, dessert, tip for 3 people was just over $200 The cod was cooked to perfection (I still don’t like cod but I tried my son’s) The fillet over risotto was an incredible flavorful dish and the meat was so tender and a perfect medium rare. My daughter had a chicken Alfredo type dish and was tasty as well. Chicken was nice and juicy. I would definitely recommend reservations as it does get busy… Definitely a solid choice if you’re looking for a nice place to eat!

Krystal Griffiths Thank You Ilarga and your team for hosting our wedding on Saturday. It was a perfect day. The food/drinks was amazing, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing. Our guest love the place and everything that was provided that night. I rate this place a 10/10. Will definitely be back again for another event. Thank you again !!

S Smith After several visits and they were all awesome, time for a review! Food fabulous and portions for multiple leftovers. So many options to suit all, tuna special salad was spectacular! Picture for visual. The last two visits Bailey was our server, efficient, kind and patient, over all fantastic!

alice poundstone Under new management for a year or so, and u can tell. The menu is varied and delicious! Dessert is unbelievable. I hate bread pudding. The Banana Bread pudding is so good I have forgone the brownie sundae, a fave of my companion. I had a delicious mushroom risotto w truffle oil. She had the strip steak. Only complaint - several items only available at dinner - I have early bedtime!! I can recommend just about everything. Wings, Guac,Eggplant Rolotini, Cheesecake, on and on.
