5 /5 Francis Ramos: We were there today to celebrate my sister-in-law’s birthday over brunch. The pernil boraccho was great. I like that the rice had a fried egg on top. I ate all of it. James the owner was super friendly and gave us a brief history of him, his family, and the restaurant. He let us try his version of coquito since my SIL makes and distributes her own coquito. We loved it. He offered us and some other tables Puerto Rican pitorro (moonshine) which was too strong for me, but my brother liked it a lot. To be balanced, my only major criticism was that the maduros were just simply fried it seems, I like my maduros a little sweeter and softer so I typically make them with a little brown sugar but to each their own. For cocktails, the Huracan was delicious. Didn’t get a chance to try La Puñeta but my bro liked it. In summary, I left with a full and bloated stomach.

5 /5 Nico Caraballo: La Fonda is an amazing place, full stop! First of all, the food is excellent! Im very picky about Puerto Rican food because my grandmother was an excellent cook (and in many ways, noone can reproduce what she used to do), and she taught me how to cook. So my bar for excellence in Puerto Rican gastronomy is very high. La Fonda clears that high bar easily, and then adds complete authenticity! Then their drinks are crafted with care and creativity! Finally, their owner James treats you like family, while the staff does the same! La Fonda is also a great place to have an event, or get to do the catering for your event. And when they arent feeding people, they are providing the community with a place to gather for all sorts of community based activities! The only drawback is that I dont live closer to go more often and be more supportive!

5 /5 Frederick Ramos: With reservations, no wait time. Friendly staff. The owner, James was extremely hospitable. The food was delicious. It was definitely a family vibe and a memorable spot to be celebrating my wifes birthday.
