El Tequilero Mexican Restaurant - Monticello

Black Trunks I love this place Fresh and delicious food ! Huge variety of different meats and flavors you can put on any Authentic tacos Made with fresh home made corn tortillas! I get the “Sope” that has a thicker corn tortilla and Reminds me of polenta almost, it’s amazing when eaten fresh and in house It’s crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, I got the “Cecina” (salted beef) with lettuce, crema and the avocado on top is great. Also highly recommend the burritos I got the chicken burrito, The rice and beans, peppers, guacamole and cheese is always fresh and it’s pretty huge Best value for real food around hands down Try a “fruit water” aka agua de Frutas I got tamarind… it’s awesome, brought back memories of childhood Awesome place Try it out

L Roca Restaurant & Lounge - Albany

Rating: 4.6 /5
Jorge Muniz L’ Roca Restaurant & Lounge delivers a very solid dining experience with several standout positives. On-site parking is a major plus, and inside you will find a cool, welcoming atmosphere with plenty of seating. The staff were friendly, the restaurant was clean, and pricing felt right in line with the area without being outrageous. Most importantly, the food was excellent. It was very flavorful, authentically prepared, and served in generous portions, so you definitely will not leave hungry. A couple of minor areas for improvement include the bathroom facilities being a bit small, though at least they were clean, and some menu items using English wording that felt unnecessary for otherwise authentic dishes. Calling arroz con gandules “rice with pigeon peas” just sounds a bit silly. Overall, though, the quality of the food and experience easily outweigh these small issues, and a welcome addition to the area.

Cafe Mutsi - Andes

Rating: 4.9 /5
Reason Jobs I had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Mutsi during their soft opening weekend, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The cafe, nestled in the charming town of Andes, New York, offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements its delectable menu. As a coffee enthusiast, I was thrilled to find that Cafe Mutsi serves some of the best coffee I have ever tasted. The rich, aromatic brews were the perfect way to start my visit. Alongside my coffee, I enjoyed a cardamom bun that was simply divine. The bun was soft, fragrant, and perfectly spiced, making for an ideal morning treat. Cafe Mutsis menu boasts an impressive array of savory options that cater to all tastes. The bread, freshly baked and warm, was a delightful accompaniment to many of the dishes. The French fries, served with homemade ketchup, were crispy and flavorful, a perfect snack for any time of day. One of the standout items was the bitterballen, a Dutch delicacy that was crispy on the outside and filled with a savory, creamy meat mixture on the inside. It was an absolute treat! The sandwiches, made with fresh ingredients and served on their delicious bread, were also a highlight. Each bite was a perfect blend of flavors and textures. Cafe Mutsi offers a range of unique dishes that are sure to please any palate. The snacking bacon was a savory delight, crispy and perfectly seasoned. The salmon carpaccio was fresh and light, with delicate flavors that paired beautifully with the other dishes. The Moroccan couscous was a standout, bursting with vibrant spices and fresh vegetables. For a heartier option, the roasted chicken was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with a deliciously crispy skin. Every dish was meticulously prepared and beautifully presented, showcasing the chefs attention to detail and passion for good food. No meal at Cafe Mutsi would be complete without trying their chocolate cake and desserts. The chocolate cake was rich, moist, and utterly indulgent. Each bite was a chocolate lovers dream. The selection of other desserts was equally impressive, with a variety of sweet treats that provided the perfect end to a fantastic meal. Cafe Mutsi in Andes, New York, is a culinary gem that promises an outstanding dining experience. From the amazing coffee and freshly baked goods to the variety of savory delights and decadent desserts, every aspect of my visit was superb. The warm, inviting atmosphere and the attentive staff only added to the overall enjoyment. I highly recommend visiting Cafe Mutsi and indulging in their delicious offerings. It is a place where you can truly savor the flavors and enjoy a memorable meal.
