Tracey P. M. Restaurant Review: Texas de Brazil – A Pleasant Surprise with Endless Flavor We weren’t quite sure what to expect walking into Texas de Brazil, but we left both full and genuinely impressed. From start to finish, the meal exceeded our expectations. The salad bar was an experience in itself—almost overwhelming with how many fresh options it offered. The greens were crisp, the dressings delicious, and the lobster bisque stood out as a real highlight. Though it didn’t have chunks of lobster, the soup was thick, rich, and full of flavor. Once we flipped our little card over, the meat service began, and the variety was impressive—lamb, pork, multiple cuts of beef, and chicken. The flank steak surprised us by being exceptionally tender and flavorful, and the chicken was the standout—juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The filet mignon, though tender, was a bit of a letdown; the bacon wrapping overpowered the meat’s flavor. I didn’t try the lamb or pork personally, but others in our group did and gave it high marks. With the meats came a tray of sides: creamy red-skinned mashed potatoes, light and cheesy bread, fried plantains, and French fries. Everything was well-prepared, though I wasn’t fond of the coating on the fries. The mashed potatoes and cheese bread, in particular, were crowd-pleasers. The service was attentive and friendly. While the staff seemed a bit young and still gaining experience, they were trying hard and eager to please—which counts for a lot. The total came to $184 for three people (plus tip), with no alcohol or specialty drinks—just water. It’s certainly a splurge, but for the quality and quantity of food, it felt justifiable. And for a chain restaurant, the food was surprisingly fresh and flavorful. Would we go back? Absolutely. It’s not an everyday dinner spot, but for a special treat or when you just want to eat like royalty, Texas de Brazil is worth the visit.

Black & Blue Steak and Crab, Buffalo NY - Amherst

Ajinkya Buradkar Elegant ambiance, consistent with other Black & Blue locations. I ordered the steak, which was perfectly prepared and well presented. The mashed potatoes on the side were decent but could have been a bit creamier and smoother. The crab dip with bread, calamari, and meatballs were all outstanding. Service was prompt and attentive through.

Georgia We celebrated our wedding dinner here with our families and both the food and customer service were above and beyond! Jim, the owner, set us up with our own private dining room and three burners for our fondue pots. He came around to check on us a lot and checked our burner, which we really appreciated! Our waitress, Savannah, was absolutely amazing! She made sure we each got lots of fondue pots, kept track of who wanted what (fondue, broth and food-wise) and was super kind, attentive and just an absolute gem. There were 11 of us so the orders were understandably complicated, and she did a flawless job making sure everything went smoothly. The staff as a whole also went above and beyond with gestures to help us celebrate and really make the night unforgettable! A picture of all of us put into a card, two Melting Pot wine glasses and a separate “Thank you for celebrating with us” card were all given to me and my husband to take home. On top of that, they decorated a plate with icing and images to say “Just Married.” It was beyond amazing! The food itself was stellar as always. We’ve gone to other Melting Pot locations and were so happy to have the Wisconsin Cheddar, Loaded Baked Potato and Alpine Cheddar fondues, Court Bouillon and Coq Au Vin broths, and the Flaming Turtle and Yin Yang dessert fondues! We got a spread of food items and salads to enjoy straight up or cook together. We feasted like kings and queens! We wanted to thank everyone at the Melting Pot for their amazing service, food, and how they all went the extra mile to make our night truly special. I highly recommend this location for your next family get-together or big celebratory meal!

Linda Mallen One of our favorite places! A beautiful historic inn where you can eat and/or stay right on the Hudson River. The food is exceptional and Debra at the bar is a gifted mixologist. This is the best place to go after a fun day in Cold Spring!

DrKathy Reilly Fallon I enjoyed a beautiful, peaceful Christmas luncheon the day after Christmas at Mulino’s Restaurant nestled in the heart of White Plains. I was greeted by the host & manager Jimmy who took me to the perfect table so I could take in all the Christmas sights and scenes at his spectacular restaurant. The waiter started me off with fresh pieces of Parmigiana cheese with warm bread. I enjoyed the Caesar salad and followed by the champagne infused lobster ravioli which was so delightful. The service was amazing. A special thank you to Jimmy for always making me feel welcome at his gorgeous restaurant!

Vinson Tang Our flight was canceled, so we spent the night in Buffalo. It was late and was so glad they had a resy available to accommodate us. Even though it was late, it was still fully packed, so you know its a great spot. Ordered the 8oz filet with the grilled tiger shrimp combo, and crab crusted salmon and asparagus. The filet was perfectly cooked medium rare and so tender, one of the best Ive had ever, just melted in your mouth! Salmon was also good, Service was also on point and was a great experience overall. Def come check it out!
