Taryn Hallweaver Fantastically good arepas and cachapas and plantains and soup! Spacious upstairs with view of the Hudson. Super friendly staff and relaxed vibe. Really reasonably priced, good-sized portions, and four delicious sauces that come with every dish! Also- Oh Corn! catered a dinner for a work retreat I had a few weeks ago and it was a huge hit! And met all the dietary restrictions of everyone on my team no problem. Highly recommend for drop-in meal or for catering!

Carolyn Straker Amazing experience, customer was on point, the aroma of the food was a tease to the senses but the taste was immaculate. Remember that your preference to food does not make a dish bad, and with tha said, check the contents of the disha and choice what will make you taste buds and your tummy happy. One thing that blew my mind as simple as it may seen was the plantain humus.....looooookkkkk it was so good. The sweet yet slight savory taste sent a plethora of sensations through my mouth and settled with such comfort into my tummy. Take yourself and your family and your friends, tell a neighbor as a matter of fact tell a stranger of your experience, and enjoy the food and ambience of Bretts Hill by Chef Darien and his crew. Loved it and I will be back

Alyx Arslanian My partner and I went here for Sunday brunch. We were passing through this town on a long road trip and seeking a hot vegan meal. The tofu scramble was the best tofu scramble I have ever had—everything was so well seasoned and flavorful. The atmosphere is really cool and eclectic and everyone was nice!

K K The new owner is AMAZING. the plates were massive! family style is the way to go to. The pizza was also huge. Appetizers, dinners and service were amazing!!

Sarahi Vidal This spot has been on my list for the longest, and I’m so glad I finally made it. The service is truly top tier you feel right at home the moment you walk in. Everyone’s smiles are so genuine, and Morena, the daughter, is incredibly sweet. She shared the history of the place, which makes it even more special knowing it’s family owned. The food was outstanding! I loved my chicharrón de pollo, and even my picky husband was impressed with the chivo. We’ll definitely be back to try the rabo!

Matthew Broder Cocktails, desserts and dessert cocktails were the highlights of our visit. The service was great, our waiter was a young man who had the polish and professionalism of an experienced server. The food in between our first round of drinks and our last was quite good. The portions were not huge but what was on the plate packed enough of a flavorful punch to leave you satisfied. The decor and layout of the restaurant was quite unique and interesting. Overall a really nice meal in a warm an inviting room.
