Ali Hassan The tacos were really good and served fresh. Service was quick for a one man show. Would not recommend the sweet potato taco as it didnt really have flavour but the tomato and mahi mahi tacos were top notch. The kids grilled cheese was incredible! More so the kids started eating that!

Mickeys Restaurant & Lounge - Plattsburgh

James Jock Dinner with my daughter. She had balsamic chicken and I had chicken parm with spaghetti. I was surprised at how much water was on my plate. It really made it sloppy. The dinners didn’t seem as hot as I had expected. The brownie sundae came with a delicious and warmed brownie. The peanut butter pie was super sweet like you’d expect. Worth the $83 price? Undecided.

NightStalker Absolutely amazing burgers and fries. We also had the garlic parm wings which were just okay, they need a lot more flavor, I would say the only downside was the womans bathroom, it was tiny bit warmer then the snowy weather outdoors

Crystal L We stopped in for dinner before a show at Sheas, they were booked but had space available at the bar. The bartender was wonderful. He was incredibly busy, but we never felt neglected. The food was outstanding, and the pilot grigio was one of the best Ive had. We will definitely be back to try the baklava!

Prof. John This is my 120 th review. I have driven or walked by 275 dining places on 2 continents. I have visited about 175 establishments. Anyone who has read my reviews knows I try to write in an easily readable format. I try to make fair calls on ratings and realize that it is my feeling alone and only on the item I have decided to try. High class food is not a requirement. Frugality in all things has stood me well. I am fortunate to get a good quantity of views, both in photos and text. Thank you for indulging me in this prelude. Now for #120. A week and a half ago I visited McGearys with some family before a young peoples event at the Palace Theater, an icon of the city which i have also reviewed. We had various items and i decided on a standard bar food, a burger and fries. I get my burger well done so it can be hard not to cook it until it is a hockey puck. The chef did a great job and it was just the way i like it. The fries were standard fries. All in all, it was quite good. I had a beer and it was a short one and it is pleasant to me when establishments have smaller glasses available. The were no complaints from the adults and youngsters. A good time was had by all. Our waitress was Chrissy, in the photo along with Tess, the owner, holding one of the kids artworks. Christy was upbeat, friendly and worked hard to take care of our bigger group, always with style. It was fun talking to Tess, the owner, who always had a smile, also says Al, inside comment. It had been a long while since I was here, and I shall return. I hope this long narrative did not bother any readers.
