The chili crisp tofu sandwich was absolute perfection — crunchy cabbage, soft-but-firm tofu, a toasty baguette that crackles just right, and that perfect whisper of heat. Honestly, it’s the kind of sandwich that makes you rethink every other lunch you’ve ever had. Hands down, best vegan sandwich ever. And let’s talk dessert. The coffee cake and the babka are currently locked in a delicious custody battle for “Best Sweet Thing in Hudson.” Both are winners — depends on the day (or how much room you’ve got left).

5 /5 Adam: This sandwich at Lev & Ida’s haunted me in a good way.. like the kind of ghost who doesn’t rattle chains in the night but follows you around whispering “Remember the pastrami… go back for the pastrami…” The pastrami is smoky, pepper-crusted meat stacked so high it felt like Jenga with brisket. The rye bread was sturdy enough to hold the beast but soft enough that my jaw didn’t need a gym membership to chew through it. This sandwich wasn’t food it was an experience. I could feel generations of Jewish grandmothers judging me for not sitting up straighter while I ate it. Each slice of pastrami was tender like it had been slow cooked in a hug. By the last bite I wasn’t just full, I was emotionally attached.

5 /5 Megumi Atack: I visited for the first time and tried the tofu sandwich. It was unique, delicious, and something I’d happily go back for. The atmosphere was bright, warm, and inviting, and the open layout made the space feel especially relaxing. Highly recommended!
