Lalys Restaurant - Jackson Heights

Rating: 4.5 /5
Rachel KS This is our go-to Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. We looove everything they prepare! Taco Tuesday’s are a big hit with our family. I find their breakfast menu delicious and potions are huge! Everything on the menu is delicious. Ask for their homemade chipotle hot sauce.

Ellie Koptsev Actually the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had (and that’s including the South)!! We are not local but we will DEFINITELY be coming back here. Absolutely incredible food (and a great vibe)!

Cafe 19 - Seneca Falls

Phil Tharp Whenever we travel were always looking for a local coffee shop where were going to be staying. After a Google search this cafe came up. This place was very busy on a Saturday morning. The young lady that took our order was very pleasant, very welcoming. The coffee was great The gluten-free vegan peanut butter balls were wonderful! got a bowl of oatmeal as well that was absolutely great! They brew finger lakes coffee roaster as well as their own brew.Just a wonderful experience. My only recommendation would be maybe some more vegan options. Would definitely go here again. And definitely highly recommend this place.

Casa Azul - Buffalo

Blanca I come to Buffalo occasionally for work and have a new favorite place. Im gluten intolerant so just about everything is sans-gluten. Im also Mexican and can speak to the authenticity of the food, very authentic and some of the best tacos outside of Mexico and California. Really did not expect this in Buffalo. I got the guacamole, chicken taco, al pastor taco, and potato and poblano taco. Their green salsa was my favorite; tangy and spicy. Very reasonable prices and the staff were polite, fast, and professional. Great atmosphere! Cant wait to come back and try more things off the menu.

McGearys - Albany

Prof. John This is my 120 th review. I have driven or walked by 275 dining places on 2 continents. I have visited about 175 establishments. Anyone who has read my reviews knows I try to write in an easily readable format. I try to make fair calls on ratings and realize that it is my feeling alone and only on the item I have decided to try. High class food is not a requirement. Frugality in all things has stood me well. I am fortunate to get a good quantity of views, both in photos and text. Thank you for indulging me in this prelude. Now for #120. A week and a half ago I visited McGearys with some family before a young peoples event at the Palace Theater, an icon of the city which i have also reviewed. We had various items and i decided on a standard bar food, a burger and fries. I get my burger well done so it can be hard not to cook it until it is a hockey puck. The chef did a great job and it was just the way i like it. The fries were standard fries. All in all, it was quite good. I had a beer and it was a short one and it is pleasant to me when establishments have smaller glasses available. The were no complaints from the adults and youngsters. A good time was had by all. Our waitress was Chrissy, in the photo along with Tess, the owner, holding one of the kids artworks. Christy was upbeat, friendly and worked hard to take care of our bigger group, always with style. It was fun talking to Tess, the owner, who always had a smile, also says Al, inside comment. It had been a long while since I was here, and I shall return. I hope this long narrative did not bother any readers.

Barnie Keller Stopped by after my daughter’s basketball game. Got a warm welcome and even got the eat I requested. I was in full view of the oven where they make the hot bread that’s to die for. I had the virgin mojito. Refreshing and not too sweet. My dinner choice. The lamb chops opted for fries and not rice. They were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. My husband had the Mix Pide. A thick-crust pide loaded with chopped beef, Turkish beef sausage, vegetables, mozzarella cheese and spices. The portions are generous and the staff all work well together and they check in frequently. The best part it does not break the bank. This was my 3rd time and they have been consistent each time. Added to rotation.
