Northwood Inn - (Near Carmel Hamlet, NY)

5 /5 Alan: It isn’t fancy but they do have Excellent food and a relatively large menu. Most of the main courses are under $20 but the high end specialties are up to $25. So it’s a good deal in today’s environment. The fillet was a nice size and perfectly cooked. The cod came with 6 shrimp. The goulash was excellent. Desert was good. Try the chocolate brownie or the carrot cake. The one downside: service was - how can I say this - leisurely. Don’t go if you are in a rush.

2 /5 Tim: Really great food! Nice blend of food and culture. They is a bartender though who is really miserable. She really seems to be bothered by anyone asking for something. Also will just sit in her phone and not pay attention to customers. Overall still would go, but I try to avoid when she is there

5 /5 Crystal Vuksanaj: I’ve been coming here for years. They have great specials, amazing food and a very good special bar menu. The owner and workers are great people! Wednesdays are buy one burger get one half off, and Thursday is prime rib. Also they have other specials on a board for the full week.

5 /5 ISMAEL CRESPO: Ok so i have been living in Mahopac for over 10yrs . I always wanted to try Northwood inn... so i did today. I had the Blackened porkchops. And my wife had the polish platter. Porkchops were good . My wife wasnt Crazy for the stuff cabbage, but i guess its a hit or miss. I tried it, for me it was ok. now as far as the service . Service was decent the bartender was on point so was the owner. For what we had plus mad drinks the price was reasonable. Cozy place and friendly...
