Megha Bajaj Rampoldi has become one of those rare New York restaurants I return to again and again—and after more than four visits, it’s firmly earned its place as one of my favorites in the city. From the moment you step inside, the ambience feels effortlessly elevated: refined, intimate, and unmistakably upscale without ever feeling stiff or pretentious. The service is consistently exceptional—warm, attentive, and polished in a way that makes every visit feel special and personal. It’s the kind of hospitality that enhances the experience rather than interrupts it, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine care. The food is, quite simply, delightful. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and rich in flavor, making it clear that quality and detail are at the heart of Rampoldi’s kitchen. Whether it’s a first visit or a repeat one, the experience never loses its charm. Rampoldi isn’t just a great restaurant—it’s a dependable favorite, ideal for celebrating, impressing, or simply indulging in a truly refined dining experience. kendra “Kenny” Hands down, this was the best meal we had in NYC, and we just happened to stumble across it. I’m so glad we did—especially after eating at several “recommended” places that were honestly disappointing. This spot completely blew us away. The bartender was incredible, and you could tell he took real pride in his craft cocktails—he even came over to our table to make sure everything was perfect. The entire staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely focused on making sure we had an amazing experience. Choosing from the menu was tough because everything looked so good. We ended up ordering the soup dumplings, bacon claypot rice, sweet and sour pork (perfectly breaded), green beans (my personal favorite—and my husband even ate them, which is rare!), and the kung pao chicken, which was absolutely to die for. The lychee martini was fantastic, and the old fashioned was one of the best we had during our entire trip. I would fly back to NYC just to eat here again. Absolutely phenomenal.

Ethan Williams First time trying this restaurant and it left a wonderful first impression! The food was really good. I definitely recommend the sweet and spicy bacon to start. I also try the French onion soup at any new restaurant I go to and Johnny D’s French onion is easily top 5 I’ve ever had. We also got the grouper fish and chips and steak frites (recommend both). To end our meal we had a delicious chocolate cake and lemon blueberry cheesecake. Our server Dan was very nice and attentive. The ambiance was great as they had a piano player during dinner (they have live music on Fridays). The owner was also very attentive as he would come around and make sure we were enjoying our meal. I would highly recommended this restaurant anyone in or visiting Buffalo that is looking for a good night out.

Tony Blair I was quite taken aback when I was denied access to a section of the restaurant simply because I wore a turban; that really isn’t good for business. However, the overall dining experience was fantastic. The Caesar salad was absolutely phenomenal, along with the crab cakes and spicy shrimp. Our server, Matt, was an awesome guy—very patient and accommodating. Plus, I loved the music selection; R&B played all night, creating a great vibe.
