5 /5 Fertal Fertal: We stopped randomly on the way to a vacation in the Catskills and as soon as we left I regretted buying just a snack and a couple of treats. Came back on the way home and bought an assortment! Super delicious and absolutely worth driving through both absurd roundabouts to get there off of 84.

3 /5 Susan S: I went here for the rugula. Thankfully, they were in a proportion plastic box. They were delicious. What I don’t like about the bakery is that a lot of the other items are on an open floor, in open containers. There were people sneezing in the bakery, and I noticed one child who touched one of the bakery items on the open floor. There is no way I would purchase items in the open atmosphere in this bakery. Also, I ask the gentleman on the floor, the price of the item that I had chosen And he mumbled, “ they’re sold by the pound”, but never gave me the price. I realize this bakery caters to the summer clientele of Monticello, but they should be happy that a local resident is willing to shop in their bakery and be more cordial to them.

5 /5 Julien Ledda: This place is so good I admit I feel strange leaving a Google review because I don’t want it to become busy - but they deserve their praise. Amazing pastries, bagels are solid, staff is super sweet. Gotta go!

5 /5 Tzvi H. Kushner: Food was great! Nice amount of options here. The guys were nice and friendly. Would suggest another worker for during the summer when it gets much busier to keep things moving a little quicker. Was here during the winter though and it wasnt a problem. There are a total of 2 small tables and 4 chairs for the seating area... Enough parking space.

2 /5 Bianca Gonzalez-Heyes: I stopped by Rugelach Heimishe Bakery today, and while the pastries were undeniably tasty, the experience left a very sour taste. The older woman working at the counter — possibly the owner — was extremely rude, not only to me but to other customers as well. Her attitude was dismissive and unfriendly, and it genuinely made the visit uncomfortable. Good food should be paired with good service, and unfortunately, that was not the case here. No pastry is worth being treated poorly, and as a result, I won’t be returning or recommending this bakery to others. There are plenty of places that serve delicious baked goods and treat customers with kindness and respect — I’ll be supporting those instead.
