Original: It had been a while since we came here, but we have to give it another shot for lunch. Food was great, our server was very good and attentive, prices were average for lunch. We had a bad experience last summer so it had been a while since we went. However the ambience and location are nice and the food is tasty, so well going back.

2 /5 Jim Q: Family has been coming here every Christmas Eve for over a decade now. I’m not sure why. I’ve suggested other places, but we’re suckers for tradition I suppose. On this last visit we were there at 5pm with our party of 11. Felt rushed from the start. The waiter seemed more concerned with us leaving than taking care of the table. Never asked or offered a refill on our glasses of wine. Never asked how food was (avoid the salmon). I had to go to the bar myself to get some lemon wedges because he didn’t check up. One of the dishes did not come out until the rest of the party was nearly finished (a pizza). We waited as long as we could for the pizza to show up before starting our own meals. Not that it mattered that much… potatoes were cold anyway. At 6:30 during coffee and some light gift exchanges the waiter started bussing the table telling us a party of 13 was waiting. Srsly?? Table waiting 101: that’s a no-no. I guess the restaurant only set aside an hour and change for a party of 11…. Which is not our problem as diners. If you do decide to go, make sure you don’t sit near the heater. We made the mistake of forgetting to request that this time though we should’ve learned from the past (two years ago it was singeing leg hairs and we had to change our manner of sitting in order to try to escape it). They will not turn it down because it “heats the entire restaurant.” We agreed when we were leaving: never again. Tradition be damned. ***UPDATE*** The response to this review from the restaurant is as AI ChatGPT generated nonsense as it gets (see pics). Another slap in the face from a restaurant weve been going to for a long time. Rushed again, ironically in an "apology" about rushing. If you cant compose four sentences without a mediocre-sounding robots help, Im not sure I would trust your dedication to quality in the kitchen or the dining area.

5 /5 Dan Dan: Thee hidden gem in the Hudson Valley. This is a true Italian restaurant. Everything is clearly Fresh, the quality of all the ingredients is evident. The table olive oil is the best we have had. This is one of those places where every dish you order exceeds all expectations. Trust me, go here.
