Ertan Bek One of the best low key spots in Brooklyn with authentic delicious food. These are the small businesses that we should be supporting. I order the seafood pasta whenever I’m here and it’s honestly as good as the Michelin restaurants I’ve been to in the city

Chiffonade B If there was ever a place that deserves every scrap of hype it gets, its Mama Raos. Everything was perfect from our appetizers to our drinks to our entrees to our desserts. We went on a Saturday night and had a group of 10. It was loud, boisterous, and joyful. Everything you expect in an Italian restaurant. The veal chop Milanese is not to be missed. The whipped pistachio dessert was otherworldly. 14/10 would recommend.

It was delicious and well worth the money. Time out itself is huge with a massive variety of food. Its clean, and staff are friendly and helpful

Jeanine F. This past weekend was my first time dining at Il Colosseo, and it’s safe to say I will be traveling to Brooklyn to eat here many more times! The food was AMAZING. I was with a large party and their service was absolutely impeccable. They tended to everyone’s needs and brought out the most delicious appetizers, desserts, and drinks. The salmon was so delicious and buttery. All of the wait staff were kind and attentive. With a large party, it’s easy to forget drinks or coffee here and there, but they managed any issues with ease. I don’t live near Brooklyn, but I would be more than happy to make the drive and come here again! It was such a great eating experience.

ebony shears we had an amazing experience on a wednesday night. first time dining here and i have zero complaints. we were welcomed warmly and the atmosphere is cozy. the wild arugula and pear salad was perfect, farfallone with chili butter and breadcrumbs was such a unique pasta dish an indulgent blend of flavors and textures, rainbow trout simultaneously subtle and luxurious, and the pork chop just might be the best i’ve had. add a couple of fantastic cocktails, a super creamy tiramisu and beyond impeccable service by Nicole, and it became a perfect way to treat someone for their birthday! we will definitely be back.

7.Good Days

Marley Bee Had a wonderful experience here with my family. We each ordered different plates. The oysters and the accompanying sauces were a delight! The bread and butter dish was so interesting! The different butters were great and I definitely recommend trying all three! Over the course of the night, I had tried three cocktails recommended to me by our server. The drink menu is very well put together and I feel like it offers a different option for everyone. I ordered three drinks that I would not normally go for and enjoyed them all. For entrees, I ordered the duck which had me wishing I could order another plate to go. My daughter had the burger option, which was very large and filling. My father in law ordered a very simple but tasty fresh pasta dish which he devoured completely! Hoping to return with friends and family for more events!

8.Francie

Steve Dhanpat I went to Francie on Friday with two friends and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Every bite felt special and incredibly thoughtful which is no surprise given their Michelin star, but still impressive in execution. The entire team was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the night. The duck was a true standout, but the appetizers and pastas were just as exceptional. Not a single miss. Chef Chris is an absolute star, and it shows in every dish that hits the table. An outstanding meal beginning to end. I can’t wait to return.

9.La Palina

Address: 159 Avenue O, Brooklyn, NY 11204

(669) user ratings total:

Debra Gorman I can’t give enough positive feedback about La Palina. If I could give 10 stars I would. While visiting my daughter I wanted some authentic Italian food and found this place one mile from her home. The minute you walk in it was like being with family. The staff (possible owners?) are so attentive, funny and kind. The food is better than my mom’s and my naunie’s (sorry mom) which I didn’t think was possible. The prices are fantastically fair for the quality and portions given. We started with the calamari which was fresh, delicious & perfect. We ordered 2 meatballs (I wanted to try everything), chicken parm and linguine Alfredo. All were THE BEST I have EVER had. No one makes meatballs like my mom used to and they were better! The chicken was tender and delicious. The red sauce, drinkable. The Alfredo sauce to die for. The BEST. The Italian bread and garlic bread… fabulous! We made a reservation. The place was packed. Vibe was old school, Italian music, buzzing with laughter and chatter. We will be back every time I visit my daughter.

Saddmun Ahsan WOW. Really really good breakfast burrito that commands a line on the weekends. However, its totally worth it. Great combination of simple ingredients done right. The tortilla its wrapped in provides great structure but is soft and pillowy. A very generous portion of eggs, not too much cheese, a ton of hash browns, and a green chile salsa to give that real tex-mex vibe. Very filling otherwise I wouldve had two on the spot. Will be back!

11.Ponte Vecchio

Address: 8810 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209

(603) user ratings total:

Jaclyn Campis Ponte Vecchio was the perfect place to come back to Brooklyn for the holidays. I came here with my mother, who grew up in Bay Ridge, and it felt like such a special way to celebrate with both great food and great memories. We started with the Lioni burrata with broccoli rabe, baked clams oreganata, and calamari — and every starter was excellent. The burrata was firm and creamy without being overly watery, and the broccoli rabe was perfectly cooked, not bitter at all, and nicely seasoned with garlic and oil. The baked clams and calamari were both delicious, but the marinara served with the calamari really stood out — truly exceptional. For mains, I ordered the pollo caprese, which was tender, juicy, and a very hearty portion. My mom had the veal spiedini, and it was just as satisfying. After all the starters, the portions were so generous that we both ended up taking leftovers home. We finished with dessert — tartufo and what may be the best pistachio ricotta cake I’ve had in a long time. A perfect ending to the meal. Service was attentive without ever feeling overbearing, which made the whole experience even better. Ponte Vecchio is absolutely worth the trip to Brooklyn — for the food, the atmosphere, and the nostalgia. We’ll definitely be back.

Keshia Daniel Ann Marie was absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. She checked in at all the right times, made great recommendations, and ensured everything came out just right. It’s rare to find someone who truly enjoys what they do, but Ann Marie’s positive energy and professionalism made our experience outstanding. Outback needs more servers like her between her and the wings, they’ll be the reason we’ll definitely be coming back! Ask for her when you come, you won’t regret it !

14.Theodora

Address: 7 Greene Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238

(577) user ratings total:

Martin Smallhorne Date night perfection at Theodora, Brooklyn. From the moment my beautiful wife and I sat down, the experience felt intentional, warm, and effortlessly refined. We started with the sourdough paired with whipped ricotta, brown butter, and sage—simple in concept, yet deeply comforting and layered with flavor. The Za’Atar Kubaneh with schug, tomato aioli, and harissa was bold, aromatic, and soulful—every bite telling a story. The wood-fired greens (bok choy, spring radish, pea purée, anchovy, smoked balsamic) were beautifully balanced—earthy, bright, and unforgettable. Then came the main event: the whole bone-in branzino—not just delicious, but transcendent. Perfectly cooked, infused with rosemary and salmoriglio, accompanied by a vibrant market salad. A dish that commands silence at the table and earns genuine appreciation with every bite. A special shoutout to Pablo, our guidance rockstar of the evening. Chill, knowledgeable, attentive without hovering—he made the entire experience feel organic and effortless. Truly top-tier service. Every detail was smooth. Every interaction thoughtful. The entire staff moved with purpose and care. Absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Sheila This review is about sustainability! I was so grateful to find a spot in the neighborhood where I could come to read, write, and enjoy a coffee without making any plastic trash. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, so it means a lot to me to support local businesses that are walking the talk when it comes to protecting both Brooklyn‘s waterfront and our global waterfront. I love the real mug, plate, and glass of water! And of course, the delicious cappuccino. It does not go unnoticed or unappreciated, your efforts to provide a comforting, welcoming space. So thank you!
