X Marks The Spot - Lancaster

Benito Ildefonso Love JP’s Food is one of the best cooks around. I absolutely love the mac and cheese, the cabbage, and the chicken tenders—honestly, everything is amazing. I have not had a single thing that I didn’t like. So many soul food restaurants don’t last, often due to gentrification, and that’s exactly why this place deserves our support. Let’s all show this place some love and continue to support our heritage and cultural food spots so we can keep places like this around for years to come.

Café Momentum Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh

Rating: 4.9 /5
Kiara Thorpe I had the pleasure of speaking with three waiters: Sam, Taru, and Daivon. They took great care with our table! We had the lobster ravioli and smoke fried chicken. I’m from the South and these were some solid greens: little tang, sweet and heat. No pics of the food…we cleared our plates before we could even consider it! The whipped cream on both the chocolate torte and the strawberry shortcake was divine. I love the mission of Cafe Momentum and will recommend this spot to others around Pittsburgh who need a great spot to eat + support a mission of collaboration and community restoration.

Bethlehem Barrel & Drafthouse - Bethlehem

Grace Li Potato Leek Soup was delicious. The bread that comes with it pairs with it perfectly. The burger was delicious. The romaine and red onion slaw, cheddar and 5 hour onions complimented it so well. The house blend mix of fries you get were so crispy and delicious too. My husband’s crab cake sandwich was very good and light too. We used to eat at urban table whenever we stayed the night, but this will now become our new dinner spot. Service was friendly and attentive. I liked how the place wasn’t super crowded when we first arrived and they didn’t place all guests in the same corner like most places do. My husband and I were seated in a nice spot away from anyone. Also, the manager greeted us and also checked in with us. I saw him do that to other tables as well. More restaurants should adopt this model of service. It makes a great impression especially on first time diners.

Aromas Peruvian & Latin Cuisine - Scranton

Rating: 4.3 /5
Megan Fortuner This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise! The food is so fresh and full of flavor. The restaurant is small but cozy, and the server was so lovely. I am so happy that there is a place locally to enjoy genuine homemade Peruvian food. We ordered Aji de Gallina, tostones and yucca with cheese sauce, and sopa de pollo. Portions were hearty and presentation was nice too.

Triple Fresh Market & Catering - East Fallowfield Township

John Betz This is an odd 5 star review. We found them online and had nothing to go on but reviews. They were very helpful when planning what to get as we went back and forth with choices. They reviewed the order a couple days before. When we picked it up the order was mixed up. Some of what we asked for wasnt there. They realized the mistake was on them and they did everything possible to make me happy. We ended up getting more than we paid for with extra trays to make up for what we didnt get. Even with the mix up I can say they make great food. Salads and the turkey were the best. They called the next day to make sure I was happy and again to apologize for the mix up. Its a small market store in a small town. Its worth the trip.

Maracas Dominican Restaurant - Easton

Yvelisse Aquino As a Dominican, I truly love supporting Dominican businesses, and I fell in love with this place the moment we walked in. The space is filled with so many Dominican touches that brought back pure nostalgia. From the sayings and pictures of our history painted on the walls to the explanations behind them, it was beautiful to see our culture and history represented so thoughtfully, and even better that others get to learn about our country through it. Dining in with my family was a great experience. Having the option to choose from the prepared food or order directly from the menu was a huge plus. Everything we ate was incredibly flavorful and clearly made with love. I didn’t just leave with a full belly, I left with a full heart. Truly a special place.
