5 /5 kerri vick: My daughter and I visited High Street Cafe for the first time last night and we were absolutely blown away. Everything we had was absolutely phenominal.
We started with the blackened alligator. Small portion, but oh my goodness, was it amazing! I had the beet salad. It was huge! Also, soooo good. My daughter had the lobster ravioli with scallops and I had one of the evening specials which was blackened carfish over jambalaya. When I tell you that was, hands down, the BEST jambalaya Ive ever had....
The ravioli was amazing and the sauce.....LORT.
We finished our meal with the creme brulee. It was a large portion...big enough for us to share and also one of the best Ive had. Service was impeccable as well. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back until weve tried everything on the menu.
Also, the place is decorated so beautifully. Ive been to New Orleans a few times, and really enjoyed the decor.
I cannot stress how amazing this place is. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.
