2 /5 Edward French: This guy is a rip off, I got a large pie & a large white pizza & it came to $35. He said that their white pizza is more meanwhile it was thin & crispy with barely any of the cheeses he put on it but stated the white cost more because of it being a white pizza which means he charged me $25 for the pie. On his website the price of a large white pie is nowhere near the price he charged me. The once I got my pizzas in my hands he then proceeded to tell me life stories that lasted more than 17 minutes. The whole time im standing there listening to him talk, I could literally feel the pizzas getting cold in my hands as hes blabbering on & on. Once I got home from the 14 minute drive I had to make to get there by the time I got home my pizzas were completely cold & unappetizing.
5 /5 Eli Scott: Not the fastest, not the cheapest, but the absolute best around! Joe has the best pizza, salad, subs, and stromboli on earth. Stop by and enjoy the best food and a good story from Joe, hes been at the same location since the Kennedy administration. Joes is more than just a restaurant, its a great hangout spot!
5 /5 Johnson Kai (Matthew johnson): Joe is just a cool guy, making good pizza, in a place that feels like the sort youd see in movies reminiscing about someones hometown.
And the price is crazy reasonable. Eat here!!!
M LM Been here several times, their turkey and kielbasa on pretzels buns r heaven! The potato salad n rice pudding are a must try! Service is always quick.
A S The food here was amazing! 5 stars. We were passing through Reading and we love mofongo so decided to give this place a try. I got the shrimp ceviche, a pina colada and a ham and cheese mofongo. Everything was so delicious! The staff even brought over crayons and a paper for my toddler towards the end of the meal when she was starting to get restless. I appreciate that they anticipated our needs. Would definitely go back! The location was super pretty and fun too.
Mae Fields Tried again with this place and all in all I like it. I usually draw attention wherever I go even when i dress down w/o make up or doing my hair. Not here, which was very refreshing. Definitely comes off as a nice local watering hole (popo included) where pple seem to mind their own business but are still joyous. The drinks dont seem watered down or anything. The service is attentive and cordial. The environment looks very clean and adequately spaced out. Live but not super loud if u want a lonely self think drink. Finally the food: tasty and properly cooked, requested additions are fullfilled and satisfied. Only thing I can really criticize is the price of the portions on food. This fish sandwhich I got while touring Pitts supposed best fish was good but a little small for $10. Ive had much bigger fish for cheaper in other places but...bar prices: what are u gonna do??, you know. So id say go for it. Good spot if thats your vibe
