Marzonis - (Near Altoona, PA)

Adam Barr I travel a bit for work and have been in the area for a few weeks. I typically shy away from Mexican places as Im spoiled by the one in my home town. I was down that way this afternoon and figured why not. The food is good. Real good. A shining star among the Mexican joints ive tried. I got the super ranchero enchiladas or whatever it was. 5 enchiladas,. Ground beef, chicken, steak, bean, and cheese. What stands out is the quality of ingredients. The chicken and beef particularly, were exceptional cuts of meat with absolutely nothing that would constitute a thought of "I would have trimmed that piece off". Which is typical at most places. My only criticism, I had a booth and like to sit right on the edge. The seat, while comfy offered little edge support and it felt as if I may slide off the edge lol And for what its worth. A Mexican place offering a tall draft dos Equis, if its not a 32oz you should probably close the doors. This place has it right. This place checks all the boxes. Edit: I came back today. Ordered the exact same thing and it was equally great. Oh, and they put me in a table this time lol.

Chelsy Pattison Our food was absolutely amazing my husband had the 4lb lobster and it was perfect in every way… But the reason we love this place is because of the kindest most pleasant waitress named Alexis. We could have the worst food possible and would still give 5 stars because of her spectacular service. They do not make people like her anymore and just her presence can turn around any negative day you have had! We will continue to come here because of the wonderful food but having Alexis as our waitress will always be our request!

Miss Val We were in town for the evening at the end of September and I had seen this restaurant mentioned in a magazine we picked up so we decided to go for dinner. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated immediately by the hostess who was also our server. Her name was Heather and she was friendly and attentive. We ordered the crab hush puppies to start and they were fantastic. I had the Jamaican shrimp and my man had the bourbon chicken - we both got chef’s rice and vegetable of the day. The food was delicious. The flavor on the shrimp was so good: I can tell you while I was eating my meal, it was so good I had totally forgotten that we had the hush puppies - and we had a couple corn muffins too - I should have been full but it was so good I couldn’t not eat it. I was secretly hoping my man would not eat all of his so I could take some for leftovers. We declined dessert but I almost wish we had gotten something. Our server had told us that she made the pumpkin bundt cake that day and we saw it as we were leaving and I almost went back in for a piece to go. The place was pretty full in the front. I think there was a bar and more dining space in the back. Prices were very reasonable considering the big portions and superb quality of food. Parking was a small lot or on the street. Trust me, if you have to park a block or two away, it will be worth it.

Michele Ford Update 11/12/25: My 2nd visit was similar to my 1st. Friendly staff, delicious fresh food, great place to stop for breakfast. Met friends for breakfast. I was impressed by the amount of fresh vegetables in my egg white omelette. Not many restaurants use fresh vegetables ( outside of onions and peppers). Another plus- you can get fresh sautéed vegetables in lieu of potatoes. They make their bread and desserts in- house. We were able to get separate checks. Friendly staff. A fantastic choice for breakfast. The restaurant is small- so plan ahead.

Cristina All around excellent! The food was great and the staff was so friendly and attentive despite them being slammed due to it being a holiday. They handled everything so well and efficiently.

Whaleking The food was excellent it was actually one of the best Italian food I have had in my life also the bread was excellent as well. The service was great very respectful and nice waiters. Lastly the atmosphere was incredible it was a small Italian restaurant and nicely organized and cleaned.
