The Whip Tavern - (Near Coatesville, PA)

5 /5 Ashley Cho: The Whip Tavern is a bit in the boondocks, but it has a crowded (free) valet parking area. Inside, the atmosphere is rustic yet cozy—very English pub–style. You can tell this place gets packed with locals, making it feel like a hidden gem. The servers definitely expect you to have a reservation, so it’s highly recommended. There’s a nice selection of beers to choose from. The Scotch egg was decent. The soups were a bit disappointing especially the mushroom soup, which wasn’t the creamy mushroom soup most people would expect. It was very bland.. tasted healthy. That said, I was blown away by the weekend special beef Wellington. The bangers and mash were pretty good as well. The English toffee pudding was excellent! Overall, the prices weren’t bad. The bartender greeted us promptly and my server was great. I would definitely come back and try more dishes.

5 /5 Adam Wilson: "A little piece of home" from the second I walked in I felt like Id walked in a pub at home in Nottingham England. I was totally spoiled for choice with the options on the menu but the the number one food I miss from the uk is sausages so bangers and mash was the obvious choice. I now have to go back again sometime soon for the fish and chips but then I have to make the difficult decision to get mushy pees or curry sauce. I guess I could get both. Since then I also heard they do an amazing full English breakfast (brunch) so I guess what Im saying is, "its bloody lovely at the Whip and Im gonna make it me second home!"

5 /5 rob rez: The Whip is always top notch. Food is always great, the service is "Whippy" meaning friendly and efficient. If you know someone who is vegetable adverse ask the folks at The Whip to serve up the Brussels sprouts covered with bacon and maple syrup its like Buddy the elf is in the kitchen serving up the veggies. Theyre so yummy. We were introduced to Crabbies Ginger Beer w/ lemon; its my new fave.

4 /5 Malama Toure: The service here was wonderful! The British food is great and they do it well. Some of the highlights of the menu is the Brussels sprout, the pimento grits, and the sticky toffee pudding. The burger is local and fresh. The butter chicken curry was a miss but it was not because it tasted horrible, it was not authentic. Stick to the British dishes and you will love it.
