Amy We stopped here bc of Google reviews. We were passing through Altoona and decided to check it out. It’s definitely worth it. It has a great atmosphere and the staff are all fantastic. You don’t just have one server… they all come to your table and they’re very attentive. The food was good and the portions are huge. Prices are also good. Check it out!

Tyler Crawford this place could never disappoint me! delicious food all around. steaks are always great, the loaded steak fries are mouthwatering, and who could forget the rolls?! I could probably eat here every single day.

Ken Craft Phenomenal service last night from our server, Judy M. She took our dinner, and from what I was seeing every other table that she had last evening, their dinner, from excellent to exceptional. Please recognize what an asset she is, and respect her as such! Servers like Judy are becoming much harder to find. It was a refreshing experience. Despite being overly busy, she was polite, fun, efficient, upbeat, helpful, attentive. I hope all her customers left feeling like we did- that the 50% tip still wasn’t enough. Excellent job Judy!

Melissa Chicola Our food was delicious. My steak was cooked exactly how I asked. The waitress was super friendly and hospitable. The, who I am assuming manager, stopped to ask how everything was. He had went back and got my son a little emoji toy, which he loved!

DJ Amblissity UPDATED: I haven’t seen updated picture prices. The last one was 2 years ago. So here’s an update… YOU’RE WELCOME! Always coming here is a pleasure. The service is always staying on top of everything. It’s always clean. The desserts are a bit dry. Otherwise everything always tastes great. I enjoy coming here and look forward to more years of eating here.

Aron Irish I had heard tail of a great sandwich restaurant in the greater Pittsburgh area several years ago, so when my son and I decided to travel from Indiana to Penn State to watch the Hoosiers take on the Nittany Lions, I knew I wanted to give it a go. HOLY SMOKES! Absolutely one of the best reuben sandwiches I have ever had in my life! Fantastic all the way around. Reasonably priced, big portions, and quite honestly unrivaled flavor. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Kathy Antal Got there at 3 pm and they were starting to get busy. Our waitress was great. We both got Filet Mignon. Food was delicious. Could have done without the salt on the outside of the baked potatoes.

Daniel Grant I will never forget my visit to Tom & Joe’s. I decided to take my two girls out to breakfast, and any dad knows that taking a baby and a three year old out by yourself is not the easiest thing to do. We had about a 15 minute wait because the place was so busy, but it was well worth the wait. Once we were seated, the service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely top shelf. After we finished eating, George Batrus came over and let me know that a table next to us had paid for our bill. I was completely shocked and incredibly grateful. It is a moment I will never forget. George, you are running a truly great restaurant, and you should be very proud.

Brooke Oldring Went out for lunch, paid about 20 dollars for my meal. Always have left overs from Chili’s. Service was amazing, chips and salsa were delivered 30 seconds after ordering. Kevin was spectacular. Very polite young man, and professional, he even refilled my drink 3x. Didn’t even have to ask. Food came out within 10 minutes. Hard to find service as good as that!

Patrick Ashley Maybe I dont have a lot to compare it to, but this is the best hibachi Ive been to in a long time. 10 times better than the one in Lavale Md. Nice decor, inviting atmosphere, delicious food, clean bathrooms. Very large portions too. Great sushi selections.
