KaKa Cox Still a great lil taqueria with expansive hours, which isnt the case in RP! This review is for breakfast. My fav is the Chilaquiles con Chorizo. Note, the dish has no eggs, but you can add for extra $. Great sauce with onion, cheese, sour cream & guac. Crispy hash browns cooked in fresh oil & creamy refrieds. Soft & hot tortillas. Coffee good. Todays ice tea was fresh & strong. Papas not as good as hash browns, but ask for substitution. Barbacoa not the best ever, but good. Service friendly & attentive. Come early or later for fewer crowds. A plus is a drive thru too!

Carmen Ritchey I haven’t actually eaten here, but my 87 year old dad does, every single day. Erin is an amazing waitress but her heart for people is even better! My dad had surgery and was gone for a while. She has checked on him personally. She visits with him while she waits on him and makes him feel valued. Ray, the manager or assistant manager has gone out of his way to make my dad feel welcome and valued. He responded to my request in the most professional and kind manner! Heather, another waitress has also gone out of her way to be kind to my father. For him, IHOP is so much more than a place to eat. It’s therapy, it’s socialization and a way to help him thrive. Even the cook welcomes my dad! Thank you to this entire staff for going above and beyond to make others feel valued!!

JESSE Travels I just got off a soul-crushing night shift, the kind that makes you question your life choices, and all I wanted was a hot, greasy, soul-reviving breakfast. I pull out my phone, hit “breakfast near me,” and—oh boy—this town is a wasteland before sunrise. Barely any options. And the so-called Mexican restaurants? They don’t even open until 11 AM. ELEVEN. Are you serious? If your doors aren’t open before the roosters start their shift, then I don’t know what kind of operation you’re running, but it sure ain’t a Mexican restaurant. But then I find Jesse’s Burritos. Tiny spot. Looks like the kind of place that’s been holding Borger, TX together with tortillas and strong coffee since the dawn of time. Mural on the wall, wooden tables, and that classic mom-and-pop warmth that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into someone’s kitchen. Menu’s tight—just a handful of breakfast and lunch items, no unnecessary fluff. I respect that. I go for the combination breakfast plate. My buddy, a man of vision, builds his own burrito like hes assembling a sacred artifact. Now, the wait? Longer than I’d like. Not unbearable, but definitely noticeable. Turns out every construction worker within a 20-mile radius was in on the secret and had already called in their orders. These guys were shuffling in and out like a burrito-fueled army while we sat there, watching the world turn. There’s this older gentleman making the rounds, checking on folks, making sure the machine is running smooth. Gotta be Jesse. If it’s not, then this guy just took customer service way too personally. He’s got that old-school, “I actually give a damn” vibe—smiling, talking to everyone, making sure things are running like a well-oiled tortilla press. Finally, the food lands. Eggs? Solid. Decent portion, cooked well. The potatoes? Good, but needed salt and pepper. Beans? Skimpier than I’d like. The tortillas? Thin but huge. Not the fat, fluffy ones I grew up with, but good enough to get the job done. My buddy? He’s over there in some kind of burrito-induced nirvana. Guy looked like he just met God. The waitstaff? Attentive. The vibe? Authentic. And most importantly—they were OPEN. I was this close to giving them four stars for the wait and the small menu, but dammit, they were open before sunrise like a real Mexican joint should be. That alone earns the full five. Jesse’s Burritos—you get it.

Sue Harper Wonderful Mom and Pop breakfast place. Great food and the atmosphere is happy. A lot of the locals come here. They do not accept credit or debit cards. It is cash only.

Denny Antonio Just had the most amazing dinner at Bludorn. The oysters were incredible and so fresh. The wine was absolutely perfect with every course. We had the red snapper and each flavor was a blast of incredible that I honestly can’t even explain. We finished with the Baked Alaska and the nitro carajillo, and it was the perfect ending to one of the best meals we’ve ever had. After 25 years in Houston, I think this might be the best dining experience we’ve had in the city. Support local businesses and go try this place. Bludorn is easily one of the best restaurants in the country.
