Bodega Tavern & Kitchen - (Near McAllen, TX)

Dustin Shanley Real nice place. No reservation. So we were sat in the community seating. Just a real long table with bar chairs. Still very nice and comfortable. Definitely on the nicer end. We had the special (Sea Bass), Halibut, Calamari, Lobster Mac. All cooked to perfection. The Lobster Mac though was seriously something else though. Just wow. Everyone tries to put this on the menu but after having it here Im totally ruined. Dont get me wrong everything was amazing but Im getting the Lobster Mac as side every single time I come back. They also have fun cocktails that were awesome. Cant say Ive had a marshmallow roasted in my drink before this. Highly recommend.

Brian Conley The service was a little slow but, they were busy so no fault there. The food was amazing and the steak was perfect. They don’t really know what a twice baked potato is based on my previous experience, but all in all was a great steak place.

Marychase Tsui My mother and I arrived in Corpus Christi from San Antonio via California for the Selena museums tour, memorial statue, and grave. On the last night tonight we decided to eat at Landry’s Seafood House for some wonderful seafood. When we arrived we were greeted by a nice hostess, and the atmosphere felt cozy and amazing! Our waitress Kristen was an amazing person, and knew exactly all the menu items and had the best recommendations! For us! I ordered the special Almond Crusted Mahi Mahi with avocado, and pico de gallo, freshly made, and it was delicious. My mother ordered the Salmon Melissa, which was also fresh and had amazing flavor. For dessert we tried and key lime pie and the Banana Fritters! Which were to die for! The manager also came by and asked how we loved the food which was courteous and professional. Our waitress Kristen had a great personality and came over to make sure our food got here on time, when in Texas go big I always say! The hospitality and comfort of the Texans is one thing that I am happy for when traveling, where people are kind to one another and enjoy getting to know and communicate with one another on a personal level. It was by far the best southern hospitality, food, location and people that made it a wonderful experience! If you come to Landry’s ask for Kristen she is the best!

Adrian and Gheorghina Surducan I had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked — every dish was delicious from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to enjoy a great meal. A huge shout-out to our server, Peyton, who truly made the experience unforgettable. Peyton was incredibly attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu. Their timing was perfect, and they made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. It’s rare to find a server who combines professionalism with such genuine friendliness — Peyton is a gem! I highly recommend this location. We will definitely be returning — and asking for Peyton again!

Michael Yeo Wow. This place is cool. Great atmosphere and vibe. Staff wears a cool apron looking attire. They have a great dinning area and a bar and also a wine cellar. Great place for large or small group. It was very busy when we went but got seated quickly. If you have a big group, call for reservation. Great menu. We order shrimp scampi and clam linguini. Both were great. Tasted delicious and portion was good. The bread for the scampi is great too. Our server was great. He was able to memorized orders for 10 people without writing them down.

Lani Renay We had a phenomenal time ! The food was great, atmosphere was great, but the service was fantastic! Aaron made sure we were well taken care of and felt special. definitely a date night spot from here on out
