Phoenix Johnson After several trips I wasn’t going to go back for BBQ, I drove by and saw the New Management/New Owner sign so I decided to try it. Was greeted by the New Owner Eduardo Olvera and Manager Elizabeth Olvera, great personality and passionate about his store, service and product. His staff had an amazing attitude, The Ribs were off the chart good and it was clean. Excellent all the way around. Thanks to you all for bringing my favorite BBQ back to Kaufman.

Maurice Garcia I have to say, Roost completely exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming but the real surprise came with the food. I ordered the Four Cheese Grilled Cheese and added a grilled tomato, which took the sandwich to a whole new level. The flavors blended perfectly rich, melty cheeses with that fresh, smoky tomato absolutely incredible. My wife had the Brisket Omelet, and it was just as impressive. You could taste the freshness and care in every bite. What made the experience even better was the customer service. The staff wasn’t just doing their jobs — they were genuinely friendly, attentive, and made us feel like valued guests. Their service matched the quality of the food, which is saying a lot because the food was top-tier. It’s rare to find a place where everything hits the mark: flavor, freshness, atmosphere, and service. Roost nailed it across the board. We will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a meal that feels both comforting and elevated. An easy 5-star experience.

Mark Flesher We had evacuated San Saba one day early and were headed home a bit bummed out that we were not able to hike Colorado Bend State Park. Enter this amazing lunch spot. And, I can tell you, with the location of this one I would have no problem eating dinner here or any other meal where they are open. Savory and sweet crepes, which my wife researched while we were literally on the way. I had the Reuben crepe, my wife had the chicken pesto crepe. Both were amazing. We are from the Fort Worth Texas area and I can tell you that if this place was located in downtown Fort Worth it would be a great spot with a 30-minute wait perpetually. Need to get with these Aggies (at least I assume theyre Aggies given the subtle Aggie items at the cash register) about setting up a place in Fort Worth. Beautiful place. Beautiful food. Comanche Texas who knew!?

Jerry Lopez It was our first visit to this restaurant, and everything was fantastic. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the mixed drinks were also very Good.

Troy Eakin Drove in from Lufkin to have dinner with my mom. She gave us two options and we chose here. GREAT, GREAT CHOICE! Had a triple dip appetizer, spinach, a salsa (probably to me the best salsa I’ve ever had, even better than mine), can’t remember the third. Our meals were AWESOME! Very very good…. and if you’re lucky enough to get Naomi as your waitress, THEN YOU HIT THE JACKPOT! It’s hard to say which was better the food or the waitress.
