Dimassis Mediterranean Buffet - (Near Allen, TX)

2 /5 najee bell: The empty parking lot should’ve told me everything I needed to know . I’m writing this review because I normally frequent Dimassi’s in Houston. The one off Kirby Avenue is second to none when it comes to both service and food. I decided to come to this location today since I’m staying up the street. Right away I noticed that about 90 percent of the food was cold. I wasn’t really tripping at first. I just figured I’d get what I liked and move on. I asked for a lamb shank and sat down for maybe a minute after getting it. When I went to eat it, it was cold too. I could actually see the fat from the lamb turning solid on the plate, which told me it had been sitting out for a while. I tried to ask the gentleman who handed it to me if I could get another one since it was cold. He started talking like it was somehow my fault it wasn’t hot. Because I could barely understand what he was saying, I just assumed he was going to get me a new one. Instead, he completely ignored me and left me standing there waiting. After a few moments, he told me it would be five minutes and went to speak with the lady at the register. She told me I would need to pay for another one because it was my fault it was cold. I explained that I had just sat down and hadn’t even had time to eat it. She still tried to defend him. At that point I just gave up and figured I’d write a review. I’ve never had customer service like this at any of their locations, not even at the one where I almost got sick.

3 /5 Nabil Tahfi: we’ve heard about this place for a while now and were eager to try it. We came in hungry and truly enjoyed the fresh salad selection, and the variety of hummus, and baba ghanoush. That’s about it! The rest of the food was blend and didn’t have any developed flavours. The soups and rice pilafs , and even the lamb shanks were flavourless. I mean the food lacks spices and is kinda watered down to accommodate people who are new to Mediterranean cuisine. The dessert area is lacking and has plenty of room to improve. Over all, it was a good experience but nothing to write home about. The wow factor was absent!

4 /5 Umm Youssof: As lovers of Mediterranean cuisine we visited Dimassi’s Buffet to explore their wide range of food options. The buffet offers a generous variety of flavorful dishes with something to satisfy both meat lovers and vegetarians. The desserts were also delicious and a nice finishing touch to the meal. The restaurant is clean and very spacious so we were seated immediately without any wait. The service was also friendly and efficient. One note for families: the pricing is on the higher side especially considering that the children’s price applies only to ages 3–9 whereas many other restaurants extend the kids’ rate up to age 12. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, especially for fans of authentic Mediterranean food.
