We stopped in for a laid-back dinner, and it turned out to be one of those meals where you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. I had the catfish basket, and let me tell you—it was fried to perfection. Crispy golden crust on the outside, tender and flaky catfish on the inside. No grease, just straight-up flavor. Paired it with garlic mashed potatoes, which were creamy, rich, and had just enough bite to let that garlic shine through. It hit the spot. My wife went with the steak finger basket and a side of mac and cheese, and she was all smiles. The steak fingers were hearty, well-seasoned, and had that satisfying crunch you want from Southern-style comfort food. And the mac and cheese? Creamy, cheesy, and made like someone’s grandma was back there stirring the pot. The atmosphere was just as good as the food—casual, friendly, and buzzing with that local charm that makes you feel right at home. Service was quick and on point, and the prices were more than fair for the portions we got. George’s is one of those places that doesn’t need to be flashy—it wins you over with flavor, comfort, and consistency. If you’re in the mood for Southern favorites served with a smile, this place is a must-visit.

Adithya m Came early in the afternoon between 10 and 11. Total was 16 bucks before tip. Though there is a small upcharge for ordering it moist, regular brisket is 2 bucks cheaper. At 16 bucks assuming you order it moist its 3 dollars cheaper than 1775 for the same portion of brisket. I came wednesday morning on a weekday and there was no wait. Im not really a barbecue connoisseur, but the brisket was good even compared to 1775 if you ask me. I guess there was less bark, but the brisket was just as tender and moist. You wont be disappointed with the moist brisket here. I wish Rudys had a smoked mac and cheese but it wasnt on the menu when I checked.

Sarah Wong We had such a wonderful experience at Oporto. The food was absolutely fantastic, and our waiter, Trey, was so attentive. He explained so many of the dishes to us, giving recommendations and checking in. He was funny and kind, and even gave us complimentary cookies to go with our basil ice cream. We ordered the lamb ribs, scallop farrotto, and grilled octopus. We ordered an extra scallop, which was an additional $6 and very worthwhile. The grilled octopus blew us away with how tender and perfectly seasoned it was. The basil ice cream was the best surprise, with a fresh, creamy flavor that was perfectly complemented by the salted shortbread cookie. We were halfway through it already by the time I remembered to take a photo! Trey was the absolute best! My partner says “I would go back for the grilled octopus, basil ice cream, and Trey.”

Kathryn Leininger At first glance, this place might not catch your eye—it has a barn-like, dive-style exterior—but don’t let that fool you. The food was incredible, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. This is the kind of spot where the food speaks for itself. We were very impressed and would highly recommend it to anyone passing through.

Jalen Wallace I went to Twin peaks for lunch today and it was amazing. Kelli is a beautiful and nice waitress at twins. I got the garlic parmesan wings wet with. My appetizer is the chips and salsa.
