Gold Burger Diner - (Near Georgetown, TX)

4 /5 Taylor Paul: We got to try out Gold Burger Diner for the first time last weekend! We came around 12:30 for lunch and were told that it would be a wait, but they werent sure how long. They only have 3 tables that could fit a party of our size (6 people), and we would need to wait for one to open up. The wait ended up being about 25 minutes, so not bad, but sadly our table and chairs were covered in food that we needed to clean off ourselves. I ordered the friend chicken sandwich and it was great! The fries were just ok. They didnt have much flavor in my opinion and were overdone. The chocolate milkshake was amazing!! Ive ordered chocolate shakes from a lot of different restaurants, and this was one of the best Ive ever had. It had the perfect amount of thickness and creaminess, and not watered down at all. Everyone else enjoyed their food, with the exception of the hash browns. I was told they tasted like they had been sitting out since that morning. We definitely want to come back again and try more dishes!

5 /5 J C: Tonight I decided to venture out and try a new place because I was craving a burger. I searched online for some of the best burger spots near Georgetown, and this restaurant popped up — which surprised me because I’ve walked past it a thousand times and never realized it was there. The atmosphere was nostalgic and very family-friendly, and the customer service was genuinely nice. I ordered a build-your-own burger with a fried egg, bacon, lettuce, and tomato. The ingredients were fresh and it was definitely tasty, but it lacked seasoning and overall flavor. I’m leaving this as constructive feedback and hope management takes it as an opportunity to improve, because the place has a lot of potential and I’d love to come back and try it again.

5 /5 Beth W: (See second review below this one) Awesome first experience! Ambiance takes you back in time. Superb service with a sense of humor! Enjoyed sitting at the bar to watch all the action. Food is cooked to order. Fried chicken sandwich was juicy and had the perfect crunch. Basil pesto mayo was a nice touch. Very impressed with the fries. Not greasy at all. Can’t wait to return! Second review on 10/28/25- Amazing again! The three of us had the build your own smash burger, jamones burger, patty melt, and shared a plate of fries. Food quality and service excellent! Head chef chatted with us for a truly personable experience. Thank you for providing a memorable time for my friend’s birthday!

2 /5 Margarita Sorah: This place is very cute with its fun 50s décor, and it came highly recommended. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite meet expectations. We ordered burgers, fries, and milkshakes. Both the burgers and fries were extremely salty, and the shakes were very watery. The staff did replace the shakes, but the new ones were still the same. The replacement burgers, however, were much better. The staff was accommodating throughout, which we appreciated. Overall, a charming atmosphere but an uneven dining experience.

4 /5 Matthew Zane Hammer: Dropped in for a bite & found this classic diner was incredible. I had the burger & fries. Burger was awesome! (fries so-so) My wife tried the chicken fried steak, it was okay, not real crispy on the outside the way we like it, but the mashed potatoes are the best ever! We’ll be back & Ill get the burger with the mashed potatoes.
