Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar - (Near Odessa, TX)

Emily Leone I have heard about this place for a while and have been watching to try it so I finally went with a few friends. You order at a register then they bring out your food to your assigned table. I got the Nutella waffles with strawberries and a side of potatoes. The waffles were delicious and the perfect amount of sweetness. I will say it says on the menu syrup is an extra $.90 but I just asked for it at the register when ordering and they added it to my order for free. In addition the potatoes were not for me. They were heavily fried it was hard to eat them because they were pretty heavy for me, so I ended up giving them to my friends to finish. I know my friends loved them though so if that is your thing definitely get them, I just prefer pan potatoes not fried. I would definitely come back again!

Denise Onorati It was a fantastic experience. Ordered the filet mignon, it was cooked to perfection!!! I ordered the watermelon monthly drink - it was a wonderful frozen concoction. The service was fast and friendly. The patio allowed for an exceptional view, especially at sunset. Overall it was a memorable experience.

Janet Pescador Friday night was exquisite, enjoyable, and pretty relaxing. Eduardo’s offers happy hour on house margaritas (lime, strawberry, mango) for $3.99 and pitchers of beer at $9.99 from 3pm to 11pm. Chicken quesadilla was delicious and its chicharron brisket and tripas molcajete was very satisfying. Its atmosphere was peaceful and I loved the service as well. Restrooms were well maintained and all were clean. The disability restroom provides moms a baby changing station for their children and is also clean and in great condition. I absolutely recommend this place for people of all ages and abilities. Noise pollution started rising a little after 7pm.

S The food was great-Ate there 10/23 and 10/26 while staying in the RV park of Container City. The food and service both times were great-had a grilled chicken sandwich special and chicken tinga tacos on 10/23 and grilled chicken sandwich, Tavern burger fries and onion rings. Beer, drink, queso and chips on 10/26/25. The bartender on 10/26 said it was happy hour all day. My husband ran a tab and paid out. I looked at the receipt the next day and - two different prices for the same beer-one full price and one happy hour price and full price for the chips and queso -advertised at about half price. Its hard to keep track of the charges when you run a tab - at least we got a receipt. Will definitely go back when we are in the area but will not run a tab. Edit 11/24/25. Would appreciate a response from management.

Taylor Paul We loved our experience when visiting Encantada for the first time yesterday! We came around 6:30 for dinner. We were told that it was about a 35-40 minute wait, but it only ended up being 15 minutes, which was great! As you can imagine the restaurant was packed and loud, but thats to be expected on a Saturday night. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available, as well as a separate building that seemed to have a bar and more seating. The chips and salsa that came to the table were amazing and tasted homemade! I got the chicken fajitas and could also tell that the tortillas were homemade. It makes a big difference it the quality of the overall meal! Our waitress was sweet but did have a hard time hearing us when ordering because of how loud it was. The food came quick and everyone in our party enjoyed it! We definitely want to come back again!
