Istanbul Food Midland -Food CA (Near Midland)

Kathie Westley We were traveling from south Texas on our way back to California. I was glad one review said do not be afraid of the appearance. The food was good, friendly helpful service & people in the small restaurant. So glad we went off beaten path to try local small businesses restaurant & not a chain My husband had their special daily special& I cheeseburger & I had chicken enchiladas both great.

Joe Hansen First time visiting Tarbox & Brown for lunch, during a golf tournament, which was unplanned, but the staff took care of us. Many thanks to Libby for getting our order in quickly. We had to place our order at the bar and pay in advance, but the food was brought out to us. The staff continued to check on us to make sure we were well taken care of. There was a self-serve drink fountain for refills $3.00. The entrance included staff checking you in to Kissing Tree Golf Club, see photo enclosed. Turn left and left again before you see Tarbox & Brown toward the back. Food was very good and warrants a return trip for the redfish and shrimp etouffee. Dinner menu is served on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please indulge with the Shrimp Jalapeno Poppers $9.50 as they were excellent. The other photo is the French Dip Grilled Cheese sandwich $17. Also tried the Breaded Redfish Sandwich $16.50 which was very good. Nice outdoor area as well that can accommodate larger groups. Booths and traditional seating inside were comfortable.

James D Some of the best ox tails Ive had, & Ive had a lot. This is the "hole in the wall" type place that I love. Friendly service & excellent food. Oxtails are on Tuesdays only as far as I know. Looking forward to trying some of the other menue items, fried fish, chicken, pork chops, etc.

Samantha Brown This restaurant was so good, we went here 2 days in a row (both locations). Love the seasonal concept. The kimchi pancake and Persimmon Toast were our favorite. Sophia was our server, she was incredible! Made our dinner so special.
