Kountry Bakery - (Near Hallettsville, TX)

Timothy Thompson New owner. Hes made some upgrades, but it still has the local, hole-in-the-wall attitude. Staff are friendly and they usually have a waitress as it gets busy. Daily specials. Great beer prices. Full bar, not just a beer joint like so many others around this area. Very diverse crowd and locals that are laid back and easy to have a conversation with. Plenty of TVs and the staff will turn the station if you ask. Digital jukebox and youll hear everything from country to rap to rock and metal. Electronic dart boards and 2 pool tables. Large patio on the side. This place quickly became my after work stomping ground, and Im glad its here in the community.

Larry Cerda Absolutely one of my favorite Mexican food places. Scratch ingredients. When it’s cold love to order the seafood soup. Has one of the best. You can order it at different levels of heat levels. The Parrilla plate with beef, & chicken fajita, shrimp, sausage is a banger. Won’t go home hungry. Lots of bang for the buck.

Ada-Jean Moody My husband and I went in for lunch here. Ive only had their breakfast tacos (amazing btw) so this was a first for me. I ordered the lunch special (Enchilada plate on Wednesdays) and it was amazing! The texture of bothe Enchiladas was perfect and not dry as other places are. Their rice wasnt overly dry nor did it have surprising ingredients (which is a good thing). The staff was friendly, funny, fast and just wonderful! I highly recommend this amazing place

Margaret López I heard Alex Tacos was a very good restaurant, so I decided to try their one of their "small" plate breakfasts. The huevos a la Mexicana was delicious! The server was very friendly and brought my drink and food promptly. The place is clean and well kept. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous! The smaller plate options are perfect for me, as I usually cant finish a meal without taking leftovers! Try Alexs Tacos! They are wonderful! Good job gang!

James McCoy Giddings Pizza Hut is a total joke. The manager Jessica will argue with you when they get your order wrong. We paid for 4 extra icings and they gave us 4 garlic sauces…with cinnamon sticks. Who does that and doesn’t think to double check the order?? Save your money and just go somewhere else.

Ashley Such a great little spot to stop on our way back from Fredericksburg! We loved the unique seating options throughout the restaurant—it really added to the charm. The staff was super friendly and the service was great. We’re always happy to support a small business, and this one did not disappoint. We had a delicious breakfast that included homemade pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, and house-made potatoes—everything was fresh and flavorful. We also picked up some of their homemade salsas and tamales to go, which we can’t wait to enjoy later. The restaurant is located in a cute RV area with outdoor seating and even a pickleball court! We also got to meet the owner, who was incredibly kind and even went the extra mile by packing our tamales on ice when he found out we had a long drive. We’ll definitely stop by again the next time we’re in the area!
